This approach to our game starts from our Milo Have-A Go program and our Under 8’s and goes right through to our seniors. In addition, as with all years, there is much that also goes on behind the scenes by many people to enable our cricketers to get onto the park each week and I’m very grateful for these ever passionate volunteers for their time and energies. -
Coaches' Association
COACHES’ ASSOCIATION BRUCE G. WOOD LIFE MEMBER 16 May 2017 One of the highlights of the Coaches’ Association’s 8th Annual General Meeting on 16-May-17 was the induction of Bruce Wood as our third Life Member, following Tom Richmond OAM (2014) and Rod Hokin (2015). Criteria Life Membership is the most significant award that can be bestowed by our association. In accordance with the HKHDCCA Constitution (2b), the following criteria must be met: The members of the association may approve, in exceptional circumstances, that an individual be admitted for Life Membership, subject to meeting at least two of the following criteria: • Performed creditably as an active cricket coach for HKHDCCA (Coaches’ Association) and/or in HK&HDCA club or representative competitions for a period of at least 10 years; • Served with distinction as an office bearer on the HKHDCCA Executive Committee for at least 5 years; and • Made an outstanding, long-term contribution to cricket coaching within the Association and/or the local cricket community. Nomination Rod Hokin, Head Coach (& Life Member) of the Coaches’ Association, was the nominator for this award and made the following observations regarding Bruce Wood’s suitability for Life Membership: Bruce has been coaching cricket in this district for two decades, having coached 25 club, representative, touring or school teams since 1997. He established and became the inaugural President of the Coaches’ Association (HKHDCCA) in 2010 and has been the driving force behind our growth and success over the past 7 years. He has displayed amazing vision, innovation, determination and marketing skills to continually expand our coaching programs and to ensure that each one is enjoyable and beneficial for the participants. -

Detail First CTPL Men’s Kookaburra Cup Grand Final 2018/19 v Blundstone Arena 24 February 2019 Umpires: Greg Beechey & Jerry Matibiri CTPL Club Championship Award Club Championships Ladder Position Club Points 1 Clarence 321 2 Kingborough 314 3 North Hobart 243 4 Lindisfarne 242 5 University 229 6 SHSB 191 7 New Town 178 8 Glenorchy 149 9 Brighton 96 10 Greater Northern 17 As has been the case the last three seasons, Clarence and Kingborough are fighting to claim the Club Championship. Kingborough had led for the early part of the season but following from the Christmas break, the Roos have edged ahead narrowly. The club championship reflects the overall position of the clubs within the CTPL, taking into account all CTPL grades, male and female. There is a tight tussle in the middle of the ladder also with North Hobart continuing to build and move into third position ahead of Lindisfarne and University. There are still plenty of points up for grabs with two-day cricket featuring heavily for the remainder of the season. Lord Taverners Spirit of Cricket Award The Spirit of Cricket ladder is as tight as ever with the averages of 2nd place through to 5th place separated by only 0.07 points. Competition new comers, Greater Northern, are in the box seat with Kingborough and University hot on their tails. Clubs are rated after each game on three aspects with the average rating across all games played by the club in all grades determining the final victor. To have 9 clubs with an average above 6 reflects that the competition is being played in the right spirit. -

ANNUAL REPORT SEASON 2010-2011 JUNIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT 7.30pm, Friday, 1 st April 2011 at Pennant Hills Bowling Club SENIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT 7.00pm, Saturday, 7 th May 2011 at Pennant Hills Bowling Club Normanhurst-Warrawee Cricket Club Originally known as Normanhurst Cricket Club Established in 1926 (Foundation Club in HK&HDCA) A DIVISION OF NORMANHURST SPORTS CLUB www.nwcc.nsw.cricket.com.au PRESIDENT’S REPORT Taking on the Club President role this year has been very rewarding and has enabled me to meet many of the players, parents, families and friends. I am very proud of the Club’s tradition and history and believe it is very important to carry this forward by enriching all who are associated with our great Club. We are proud to be a Foundation Club in the Association, which was formed in 1926-27. 2010/11 has been another very successful season for the Club as we continued building and developing players across all ages. With more than 300 playing members (200+ Juniors and 100+ Seniors) we are one of the largest Clubs in the Association. Season Highlights: • Winning 3 HK&HDCA Premierships – Junior’s (2) in the U13’s and U14’s and Senior’s (1) in C3’s. 7 teams participated in the Grand Finals (5 in Seniors - Colts, B2, C2, C3 & D1 and 2 in Juniors); • Our A Grade winning the inaugural HK&HDCA Twenty/20 Competition in October 2010. Somewhat ironic as we won the inaugural A Grade Competition in 1926-27 (85 years ago). We have retained the match balls from both these historic A Grade victories and they feature on two of our perpetual trophies. -

Sussex CCC Vs Glamorgan Specsavers County Championship – Division Two the 1St Central County Ground, Hove Monday 27Th – Thursday 30Th May 2019
Sussex CCC vs Glamorgan Specsavers County Championship – Division Two The 1st Central County Ground, Hove Monday 27th – Thursday 30th May 2019 Day One Opener Phil Salt scored his second successive century to put Sussex in a good position on day one of their Specsavers County Championship match against Glamorgan at The 1st Central County Ground. Having made 122 against Northamptonshire last week, Welsh-born Salt reached the fourth hundred of his career in the final over of the day when he collected his 12th boundary courtesy of a mis-field by Charlie Hemphrey at mid-off. But two balls later Salt was caught behind cutting at Dan Douthwaite for 103, made off 105 balls with 12 fours and three sixes. Sussex were 208 for 5 at stumps, a lead of 22. Sussex have struggled to get good starts this season but Salt, who was called into England’s T20 squad earlier this month, gave the innings a solid platform by putting on 85 with Luke Wells in 15 overs. Wells (30) failed to control his hook shot when Douthwaite dug one in short then Glamorgan took three wickets in ten balls to reduce Sussex to 126 for 4. Australian leg-spinner Marnus Labuschagne picked up Harry Finch (31) and Stiaan van Zyl (0) with his first two deliveries as Finch missed a long hop and van Zyl was beaten by a googly. Timm van der Gugten then returned to the attack to bowl Laurie Evans (4) via an inside edge. But Sussex skipper Ben Brown, who also made a century last week, and Salt took Sussex into the lead with a stand of 82 in 17 overs. -
