Wright and Rob Quiney’s opening partnership of 172 is the highest to date in the tournament. Jonathan Wells (68 off 44 balls and Tim Payne (65 off 52 balls) were among the Hurricanes best performers at the crease. Best with the ball have been Ben Hilfenhaus (4/27) and James Faulkner (4/46) for the Hurricanes. Wright and Quiney’s 172 run partnership scored during the match in Hobart on January 9, 2012 was seriously challenged during the Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers match played at Docklands Stadium on December 30, 2015. Chasing the Renegades 4/170 the Scorchers’ openers Shaun Marsh (76*) and Michael Klinger (90*) had their partnership halted at 171 (18.4 0vers) when their team passed the Renegades 4/170.
