• Value added: output at basic price (turnover) minus intermediate consumption at purchase price. As distinct from value added, Gross Domestic Product includes sales taxes but no subsidies for production. Value added and GDP are largely similar in relative comparisons between separate branches. • Employment: number of employees and private entrepreneurs • Multiplicative effects of branches – the multiplicative effects of the value added of branches are expressed as a coefficient between the general and immediate effect. – branches consuming large quantities of domestic raw materials have a more significant multiplicative effect. The branches of the forest industry rank top among all sectors in terms of significant multiplicative effect.
