Have you found a long-lost cousin with a common ancestor to you? Wondering what your exact relationship is?

Find your common ancestor in your family trees. If you are that person's 6th great grandchild, and another relative is their 7th great grandchild, follow the chart horizontally and vertically for each, and you'll see that you two are "7th cousins once removed".

If your common ancestor had two spouses and you are both descended from each, then just add "Half" to the above descriptions.
