______13th EUROPEAN FLOAT ANGLING Championship

17-22 June 2019

Porto Torres (SASSARI) Italy

It is with great pleasure that I come back to Sardinia to attend the Shore Angling European Championship at Porto Torres. The land and the sea of this Region will most undoubtedly enrapture the participating athletes. This makes me very happy because I am sure that the organization of such events in Italy will stir interest in shore angling activities, a sports discipline that currently enjoys a large number of enthusiasts in our country as well as in . Shore angling is indeed a technique that can be used both from natural breakwaters and on artificial quays, with Italy providing a whole range of suitable environments to engage in such endeavours. In particular, Sardinia, with its innate passion for sports fishing, its miles of coastline and the variety of fish that populate the surrounding sea, will prove an excellent host for this exciting Championship. I thank the local authorities for their support and the local FIPSAS organization that has involved me in this project, which I am sure will leave an unforgettable memory in all of us.

Chairman of FIPSAS Surface Fishing Division Maurizio Natucci

In quality of President of the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities, I am honoured of welcoming all athletes that are going to attend the 13th Float Fishing from Harbour Installation European Championship in Italy. FIPSAS is since long time a valid support for the organization of International Sport Fishing Events. After all, Italy offers some of the more variegate and appropriate natural landscapes in the world for this kind of sport. I am certain that the all participant delegations will highly appreciate the Sardinian territory and sea, which will offer a big opportunity to spend a lovely week made of good competition and fair play. I thank all managers, technicians, organizational structures, volunteers who demonstrated a great spirit of collaboration and support in this occasion and gave us the opportunity to show Sardinia with its sea and its hospitality to the European friends of Float Fishing from Harbour Installation. I am confident that these occasions represent some very important moments of positive propulsion for the sport we love and for our Nation’s progress.

The FIPSAS President Ugo Claudio Matteoli
