It is located at 42 kilometers south east from Santiago, at the foot of the Andes Mountains. Our day will begin early on our way to the Andes’ foot, where we will visit one of the most historical and traditional wineries in Chile. Once there, an old house of Spanish architecture will welcome us in their gardens and cellar to taste some of their best productions. Later, after a typical Chilean lunch, we will move onto a new level of wine development, represented by boutique wineries with more specialized productions that have evolved to craft wines of an excellent quality, competitive on international markets, and under an exclusive production; we will taste their best wines. In the 80`s, we discovered the special properties of this cold-weather valley that is located between the Cordillera de la Costa and the Pacific Ocean. We invite you to know this beautiful wine route where you will visit two of the most prestigious wineries of the valley, with two very different styles of wine production; one that reproduces the style of production used in 1500 and another that is the first organic winery of Chile. Between the visits to both wineries, we will have lunch in a restaurant where typical and gourmet gastronomy are mixed together with wine-pairing of some of the best wines of the valley. It has been nominated as one of the best valleys in the world to grow grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Syrah, and Pinot Noir. Inside Colchagua you can find a micro-valley called Apalta, which has been recognized as the most awarded valley of the country. Early in the morning we will leave the Maipo Valley on our way to the south. Crossing the Cachapoal Valley, we will arrive in Apalta, valley of premium wines. There we will visit two prestigious wineries in order to taste their finest wines in a unique and magical surrounding. For lunch we will visit a winery that will delight us with their exclusive dishes and wine- pairing of their greatest grape varieties, showing us the best of Chilean cuisine and viticulture. We will leave Santiago heading north and after an hour of travel, we will go into a mountain landscape of green hills and beautiful farming areas, arriving then to our first winery that has been awarded internationally After the winery, we will visit a local restaurant where we will taste Chilean food with a gourmet style, pairing with excellent wines of the valley. After lunch, we will visit our second winery where you could experience a different way of wine production, showing us boutique bottles of the best quality. After visiting its vineyard, we will taste some of their finest wines. Desde 1960 hasta la actualidad, no hemos cerrado nuestras puertas al público, convirtiéndose en el restaurante familiar más antiguo de Algarrobo, con más de 51 años de funcionamiento e importan- tes clientes entre los cuales se destaca Pablo Neruda, Los Huasos Quincheros, Chamaco Valdés, Carlos Caszely, Pepo, Presidentes de la Republica, Embajadores y muchas celebridades más de la política, televisión y el deporte, que han disfrutado de nuestros platos únicos. El nombre Los Patitos, es debido a la primera ubicación de nuestro restaurante en el año 1960, a las orillas de la Laguna Los Patitos, es creado por el matrimonio Fuentes Torrealba, Manuel Fuentes y Sabina Torrealba, con sus trece hijos pequeños, maría Teresa, Manuela, Guillermo, Margarita, Gonzalo, Juan Carlos, Jorge Luis, Verónica, Eduardo, Javier, Nieves, Patricio y Santiago. Los garzones fundadores fueron Oscarito, Enrique Marín, Antonio Mella, Mario Hernández, Andrés Gutiérrez. Nuestros platos eran Chancho a la Chilena, Prietas con Puré, Cazuelas y el famoso Pescado Frito con cubierta crujiente, de Carmencita, también se practicaban juegos como la rana, rayuela, domino, cacho y cartas. La demanda del público creció mucho, Carmen y Manuel, decidieron construir un local nuevo y mucho más amplio, frente a la laguna en el año 1974, año en que inauguramos en la ubicación actual.
