Jonathan Wylder (British b.1957) a patinated bronze sculpture of a female dancing in the breeze, barefooted wearing a sleeveless with marbled effect, upon a square black granite base, unsigned, height: 23cm Jonathan Wylder born in Salisbury, Wiltshire in 1957, held his first one man show of paintings in Salisbury City Library in 1973 where Sir Cecil Beaton was his first patron. He began to sculpt in his thirties, having been inspired by dance and has shown his appreciation for this subject in his sculptural work with dancers from a variety of ballet companies. His sculpture has achieved national and international acclaim £300-£500

Henry Betham Robinson (1860-1918) went to school at Dulwich College, South London and graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Whilst there he won many distinctions including the scholarship and gold medals for medicine and surgery offered here (lots 176 and 177). He went on to become a Surgeon for Diseases of the Throat. He was also a lecturer in anatomy and surgery, eventually becoming Senior Surgeon at St Thomas’s Hospital. Outside St Thomas’s he was consultant surgeon at the East London Hospital for Children, and at the outbreak of war he became Major attached to 2nd London General Hospital and for three years he worked in both military and civilian hospitals. The above photo shows Henry wearing the offered here (lot 175).

5. BIDDING AT AUCTION re-sale; (a) THE COMPANY has absolute discretion to refuse admission to the auction.
