General: CISF, being the Aviation Security Group (ASG) at airports under CISF security cover, implements the rules and regulations framed by the BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security), the regulatory authorlty for Civil Aviation Security in India. &hE-Nql: List of ID Cards to be produced by the passengers while travelling through the airports.

Domestic Passenoers: The following is the list of valid photo identity documents, to be carried in original alongwith valid ticket by a bonafide travelling passenger for entry into the terminal building of the airports:-
i) Passpor! ii) Voter Photo Identity card issued by Election Commission of India; iii) Aadhaar or m-Aadhaar:
a. Issued by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). b. Downloaded Aadhaar (e-Aadhaar) containing the 12 digit Aadhaar number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAD will also be treated as a legal valid Identity Proof of the Aadhaar number holder, subject to authentication and other conditions, as may be specified by regulations, as per Section 4(3) of the Aadhaar Act, 2016; c. Downloaded Aadhaar (e-Aadhaar) issued by UIDAI from the 'Issued Documents' section by logging into hls Digilocker accounu

A. Carriaqe of arms & ammunition: . In no case a passenger can carry a firearm and /or ammunition on his person or in his cabin baggage (hand baggage).
. If any passenger wants to carry the same he should carry a valid license, issued in his nlme. Authorized arms and / or ammunition are allowed to be carried only in the hold (registered baggage section) of an aircraft.
. Passenger must declare orally or in writing about carriage of firearm and /or ammunition either at the time of check-in, if screening of hold-baggage is done after check-in, or before security screening of the hold-baggage, if it is done prior to check-in.
. If any such item is detected in his cabin baggage or on his person at the pre- embarkation security check point, the passenger will be dealt as per extant rules and regulations issued by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
. Any passenger, who is a serving Police / Defence Services / Central Armed Forces person having valid photo identity card issued by the Department / Ministry concerned, is entitled to carry his service arms and ammunition, in the hold baggage only, if he has movement order / authority slip to carry the same.
The related BCAS Circular is'restricted', so it cannot be uploaded in CISF website.
B. Carriaoe of Kirpan . Kirpan may be carried only by a Sikh passenger, on his person, provided the length of its blade does not exceed 15.24 cm (06 inches), and the total length of a Kirpan does not exceed 22.86 cm (09 inches).
. It is allowed while travelling by air on Indian Aircrafts within India; and
. Kirpan is allowed only on domestic routes of fully domestic flights.

The issue relating to caniage of Kiryarr by Sikh passengen, while traveling by air, ha-s leen ."ri"*.d in tn" figni of requiriments of maintenance of public order. It is decided tlrat Kirpan may be carried under the following conditions i
(r) Kirpan may be canied only by a SiLh passenger, on his person, provided rhe lelctr of its blade does not exceed 15.24 cms.(6 inches); and the total length of a Kirpan does not exceed 22.86 cms. ( 9 inches ) ; (ii) It is allowed while traveling by air on Indian aircrafts within India; and (iii) Kirpan is allowed only on domestic routes of fully domestic flighs.
2. Security staff at the airports may be briefed accordingly to ensur€ that the above instructions are followed with due care ard caution.
