Sign‐up in the Social Hall beginning this weekend
Curious about what a build day is like? Here is one volunteer’s perspec ve: A house becomes a home when it becomes yours... and helping that happen for others is a great joy. I have worked on two Habitat Houses ‐‐‐ one built solely by women, and the recent pope Francis house. You don't have to be an expert to do this. The real experts will show you everything.
In my brief s nts, I learned how to construct/install walls, porch frames, vinyl siding and roof shingles. It is good labor, a great learn‐ ing experience, purely sa sfying .. and it makes you appreciate your own home more. And it is life‐changing for those who will now call it THEIR home. So, sign up and build! ‐ Sue Konopka
