MY STAMP
‘My Stamp’ is the brand name for personalised sheets of Postage Stamps of India Post. The personalisation is achieved by printing a thumb nail photograph of the patron interested to procure a ‘My Stamp’ sheet, images and logos of institutions, or images of artwork, heritage buildings, famous tourist places, historical cities, wildlife, other animals and birds etc., alongside the selected Commemorative Postage Stamp.
‘My Stamp’ was first introduced in India during the World Philatelic Exhibition, ‘INDIPEX-2011’. There was considerable demand for it during the exhibition and many requests to resume its printing have since been received. This enthusiasm from stamp lovers prompted India Post to extend the ‘My Stamp’ scheme to cover all Postal Circles in India.
International Fleet Review 2016 Thematic ‘My Stamp’
As part of the various facilities being organised for the participants of International Fleet Review 2016 (IFR-16), the Indian Navy in liaison with India Post is going to extend the facility of ‘My Stamp’ at Visakhapatnam. The postage stamp that will be used for the ‘My Stamp’ will be the IFR-16 thematic Commemorative postage stamp, which will be released by the Honourable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on the 6th of Feb 2016 at the Presidential Band Concert at Visakhapatnam.
The Indian Navy will be setting up two ‘My Stamp’ stalls, one each at the IFR Village and hospitality centre (slipway jetty). The cost of one ‘My Stamp’ sheet is Rs240/-. To facilitate ease of ordering the ‘My Stamps’, the facility for pre-ordering in addition to ordering onsite has been made available. The procedure for placing orders for ‘My Stamp’ is enumerated below:-
Pre-ordering by E-mail.
All patrons desirous of pre-ordering the IFR-16 thematic ‘My Stamp’ are required to forward soft copy (high resolution, JPG format) of colour photograph (size 35 mm x 40 mm) with white background preferably by email to [email protected] along with the following details:-
Name
Rank/ Mr/ Ms
Country
Name of Ship/ Delegation
Number of ‘My Stamp’ sheets required
The Indian Navy will ensure production of the pre-ordered ‘My Stamps’ in advance. As the postage stamp being used in the IFR-16 thematic ‘My Stamp’ is the IFR-16 Commemorative postage stamp, delivery of the ‘My Stamp’ sheets will only commence after the Commemorative postage stamp is released by the Honourable President of India on 06 Feb 16. The pre-ordered ‘My Stamps’ can be collected from the ‘My Stamp’ stall at the hospitality centre (slipway jetty) against payment of Rs240/- in cash, from 1830 hr onwards on 06 Feb 16.
Placing Orders Onsite.
All those desirous of placing orders for ‘My Stamp’ can do so at the two ‘My Stamp’ stalls at the IFR Village and hospitality centre (slipway jetty). The stalls will be active with effect 02 Feb 16 and patrons can place their orders onsite. Facility to click photograph for the ‘My Stamp’ will be available at the ‘My Stamp’ stalls. All orders onsite will be accepted against an advance payment of Rs120/- in cash. The ordered ‘My Stamps’ can be collected from the ‘My Stamp’ stall where ordered, against balance payment of Rs120/- in cash, from 1830 hr onwards on 06 Feb 16.
