Telephones make business work. They're fast. They're easy. Now you have a way to control the system and its costs. They're right at everyone's fingertips. And they're usually Datapoint's Information Switching Exchange ™ (lSX) gives efficient. But like everything else these days, they're not you a usable, understandable picture of your phone system cheap. Telecommunication costs have become one of busi at work, and the tools to make it more efficient. ness's fastest growing expenses. Who uses your phones and how ISX is an advanced, computerized PBX system. It can tell you things you don't know about phone use now; what extensions use the system most; when; which department's phones cost you the most; how long do customers hold; what lines are used; when are the peaks; and more. You can readily see if you're using too many lines, or too few. (Many companies find they're paying for leased lines they really don't need.) Power to change the system instantly Once you know the real demands on your system, you can modify it by simply entering commands on the ISX Man agement Console. In plain English. Quickly and easily. Push a few buttons and instantly rearrange extensions, change their class of service, or make a variety of other changes without supplier charges or delays. You can set up automatic routing of long distance calls to WATS, Foreign Exchange, tie lines, and common carriers. Your people won't have to dial any special codes. Tomorrow's office now The ISX can be your telephone PBX today, then, when you need it, handle connections between computers, word pro cessors, and other digital business machines. It can become the hub of your integrated information system. Yet it costs no more than a telephone-only PBX. ISX is one element of our Integrated Electronic Office'" , which also includes data processing, word processing, electronic message, and intelligent printing.
