It’s also open into the night for that after dinner gelato that is oh so necessary on vacation! La Mela Verde Castello, 30122 (Venice/Near St Mark’s Square) Artisans gelato at its best! Mela Verde is a favorite of The Roman Guy, meaning he usually takes a stroll through St Mark’s in the late afternoon and ends up at this spot to taste whatever flavor is in season. Their tiramisu flavor is just divine. Transportation Water Bus/Vaporetto A single ticket costs 7 euros and is good for one hour, in one direction, from the time it is stamped. If staying in Venice for more than a couple of days, it is worth getting a tourist travel card which can be bought through http://www.veneziaunica.it/ .
