October 2019

Dear Food for Thought ,

Cheers to fall and the start of another great season of Food for Thought! We always look forward to another year of fellowship, laughs, and great meals. A special thank you to Glenda, as she guided me through the transition of leading this ministry.

The dates for 2019-2020:

Friday, November 1st Kick-off hosted by Glenda & Bill Bjorum. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you haven’t already done so. Beef sandwiches will be provided. Please bring either an appetizer, salad or dessert to share.

November 9th January 18th February 29th April 4th

These dates are merely a guide so be free to make arrangements that meet the needs of your group. If you cannot make it to a dinner you are responsible to call a substitute from the list provided. Substitutes are listed at the bottom of the roster. You may also arrange to invite someone new and introduce them to Food for Thought. As hosts you may even be asked if you would like to host an interested new member couple if that works for you. Because of our numbers this year, we have several open/substitute blocks on the schedule.

Also included in this email, are the “Host Guidelines” and “Nuts and Bolts” handouts. Hopefully, they will answer your questions, but do not hesitate to contact me if you have other concerns or questions. Email is the best way to reach me. The menu and recipes will be sent via email a few weeks before the dinner date with a few copies at the front desk in the Trinity office. Your position on the schedule will indicate what part of the meal you are responsible to prepare. Number 1 is always the host and prepares the main course. It is important for you to contact your host ahead of time if you have dietary restrictions, so adjustment can be made.

Blessings to a wonderful year sharing our homes, meals and friendship.
