The School Messenger system uses the contact information you provide to the district. A weekly phone call or email (if the email address is provided) will be placed to the parent/guardians of student accounts with low or negative balances. We hope this service is a convenient way for you to manage your student lunch accounts. Friendship's 205th Birthday Party It's a free Caribbean party from 4pm-8pm with door prizes. Come join us on Saturday, Feb 25 at the Hahn Center wearing your bright colors. Waldoboro Little League has begun planning for the 2012 season and is looking for interested volunteers to assist. Meetings are scheduled for Feb 3rd, Feb 16th and March 1st at 6:00pm at the Waldoboro Fire Station and are open to the public. Meetings will include topics such as: coaches and umpire training, game scheduling, league operations, fundraising, field maintenance, divisions of play and more. Little League, founded in 1939 in Williamsport, Pa., is the world’s largest youth sports program with more than 2.8 million children and 1 million volunteers in more than 100 countries. More than 30 million people have played in Little League programs. Waldoboro Little League played its first season in 1952. This year, it is expected that over 200 children ages 5 to 12 will compete in several divisions of play in baseball and softball at Waldoboro Little League.

The league is also looking for volunteers interested in umpiring youth baseball and softball games this year and will be offering informational training sessions for those interested. If you've ever wanted to help out, but reluctantly declined because you just weren't sure what you were getting yourself into, or you have a basic knowledge of the game and want to freshen your skills, or you have no idea how to umpire, but want to learn, then these training sessions are for you. Training sessions will focus on rules, mechanics (how to position yourself for the call) and etiquette. For more information on volunteering or umpiring, please contact Waldoboro Little League President Bill Post at 832-0892, or Kyle Santheson at the Waldoboro Recreation Department at 832-5369. Medomak Valley High School Varsity baseball coach Scott Hastings will be offering a free baseball clinic for MSAD 40 residents in grades 3-8. COMMUNITIES COME TOGETHER TO FORM the "Dream Team" Harlem Rockets Comedy Basketball Team are Coming to Medomak Valley High School The Special Olympian Athletes; the Coastal Navigators will be hosting some very special guests on Wednesday, March 7th 7:00pm at Medomak Valley High School. The Harlem Rockets, a talented group of basketball entertainers who combine incredible showtime basketball skills and family-friendly comedy will face the Coastal Dream Team in a game benefiting the Special Olympian Athletes, the Coastal Navigators.

Having played over 2500 games in 16 years without a single defeat, the Harlem Rockets offer something for everyone to enjoy. Sports enthusiasts will be intrigued by the athleticism and size of the Rockets including.

Basketball aficionados will be dazzled by the ball-handling wizardry of Shawn “The Dribbler” Leggett. Shawn is one of the world’s extraordinary dribblers. Satiated by the game of Terry “Magician” McKenzie and left awestruck by Angelo “TNT” Gordon.

And since this is comedy basketball, the Harlem Rockets present to you the Zaniest Showman Of All Time……. Tex Barnwell “One Of Show Basketball’s All Time Greats”. The “Crowned Prince Of Laughs”.

The Harlem Rockets incorporate the audience, especially children, into the show and are always available to meet the fans and give autographs at halftime and after the game.
