    PRESS RELEASE OCTOBER 23, 2017 FOX Networks Group Selects Ericsson for broadcast services • Ericsson scores exclusive multi-year contract to deliver playout, media management and global distribution services for three new FOX HD channels in the Middle East • FOX and Ericsson expand existing relationship; Ericsson now supports 10 FOX television channels from its hub in Abu Dhabi • New contract further establishes Ericsson’s position as one of the world’s leading providers of broadcast and media services Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has signed an exclusive multi-year contract with FOX Networks Group Middle East to provide playout, media management and global distribution services for three new HD channels. The new channels - FOX Crime, FOX Life and FOX Rewayat – launched last month and are broadcast 24 hours a day from Ericsson’s broadcast and media services hub in Abu Dhabi. FOX Crime is the Middle East’s first entertainment channel dedicated to crime and investigation and will feature the best drama and reality programming in the genre; while FOX Life will offer an eclectic mix of travel, food, home, and wellness programs tailored to a Middle East audience. FOX Rewayat is FOX Network’s first ever Arabic language channel and will be home to feel-good love stories, hard-hitting drama, and everything in-between. As part of the deal, Ericsson will encode the channels for distribution across FOX’s global affiliate network from its broadcast and media services hubs in Abu Dhabi and Hilversum, using Ericsson’s secure internet distribution platform. This thesis seeks to identify the challenges to the Pakistan public and private electronic media sectors in terms of enforcement. Despite its importance and growth, there is a lack of research on the enforcement and regulatory supervision of the electronic media sector in Pakistan. This study examines the sector and identifies the action required to improve the current situation. To this end, it focuses on five aspects: (i) Institutional arrangements: institutions play a key role in regulating the system properly. (ii) Legislative and regulatory arrangements: legislation enables the electronic media system to run smoothly.

The strong FOX- beIN partnership is also reflected in the various other series aired on FOX, a channel exclusive with beIN. These include The Walking Dead (Season 7) that returns after the mid-season break on Monday, 13th February at 10 pm UAE and Outcast S2 that will be on air shortly. LEGION is based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz and is the story of David Haller (played by Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (played by Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose medical condition has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (played by Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which David must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees may actually be real.
