Viva Aerobus stimulates the connectivity of the State of with its new routes -Cancun and Toluca-Monterrey

Mexico City, October 29, 2018.- At the Official Inaugural Ceremony held at the Toluca International Airport, Alfredo del Mazo, Governor of the , along with other authorities, welcomed the new Toluca - Cancun and Toluca - Monterrey routes of Viva Aerobus, the Mexico's ultra-low-cost airline. The authorities recognized the importance of these strategic flights that, characterized by low prices, strengthen the accessibility of the entity by connecting it with tourist and commercial enclaves in the north and south of the country. "Thanks to the connectivity that the International Airport of Toluca offers, its local network and the infrastructure of this region of our state, Viva has decided to settle in the Toluca terminal and open these two flights in order to provide passengers the comfort and opportunity to fly from this point", said Governor Alfredo del Mazo. "It is an airline that has been in the Mexican market for 12 years and we recognize that it has one of the most modern fleets in the country" he added. Toluca-Cancun has 3 flights per week and offers prices starting from $722 pesos in single flight; while Toluca- Monterrey has tickets starting at $603 pesos and 4 flights per week. Considering both routes, more than 130 thousand seats will be offered to passengers in the first year of operation. Additionally, depending on the evolution of the route, the number of frequencies per week could increase. In his speech, Luis Gilberto Limón Chávez, Secretary of Communications of the State of Mexico, thanked Viva Aerobus for the trust in the city and in the state. "It is one more step in the route that the governor has outlined for us to turn our state into the logistic heart of the country", mentioned Limón Chávez. These new routes are a result of Viva Aerobus' expansion strategy, which has as guiding principle the creation of an extensive air network at prices that allow more people to fly. In this regard, so far in 2018, the airline has already launched on sale 18 new routes. "This year, we have also started our connecting flights service from Monterrey. Therefore, with the new Toluca - Monterrey route, we also offer passengers the option to fly to more than 30 destinations that we operate from that city. For example, travelers can now think of flying Toluca-Monterrey-Los Cabos or Toluca-Monterrey- Houston at truly affordable prices", explained Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus. Moreover, the airline executive stressed that they began the operation of these routes with a fleet that already consists of 30 Airbus A320 aircraft, being the largest number of aircraft in the history of the airline. Besides, it is one of the youngest fleets in Mexico. With these routes, Viva Aerobus continues to strengthen its presence in and Nuevo Leon. On the one hand, Viva Aerobus is leader in Nuevo Leon, being the operator with the largest number of destinations with an offer integrated by 31 routes. In addition, between January and September 2018, more than 2.8 million passengers traveled with Viva Aerobus from / to Monterrey, which represented an increase of 18% compared to the same period of 2017.

On the other hand, Viva Aerobus is also the airline that has the largest number of domestic destinations from Cancun and has a total offer of 21 routes. Moreover, between January and September of 2018, more than 1.6 million passengers traveled with Viva from / to Cancun.
