Kategorije su određene prema starosnoj dobi, u rasponu od pet godina, a unutar njih i odgovarajući broj atletskih disciplina. U ovome radu će se prikazati samo dio disciplina iz natjecateljskog programa i to one koje su najinteresantnije za hrvatske natjecatelje. Dopo ponderata riflessione, debbo concludere che hai colto nel segno: per cui apro la rubrica “Le foto raccontano” inviando a Spiridon alcuni documenti d’antan, ovviamente accompagnati dalle indispensabili spiegazioni. Il primo reperto è datato luglio del 1960 e si riferisce alla cerimonia di apertura del Campionato Mondiale di Pentathlon Militare disputato a Rio de Janeiro. Gabre Gabric, una giovanissima centenaria Il personaggio che sfila in testa, con bandiera tricolore, è colui che firma queste righe. Ai quei tempi era capitano dei bersaglieri ed allenatore della Nazionale. Con lo stesso grado il predetto alfiere (il suo nome era ed è Lòriga, Vanni Lòriga) subito dopo la conclusione dei Giochi Olimpici di Roma prestò servizio a Legnano nel Battaglione Governolo, quello che in seguito si sarebbe distinto a Beirut sotto il Generale Angioni, battaglione che lo stesso capitano Lòriga, preciso Vanni Lòriga, per un paio di mesi ebbe l’onore di comandare. Per inciso, fra gli ufficiali subalterni del predetto reparto per un certo periodo figurò il Sottotenente Gian Paolo Lenzi, anni dopo DT dell’atletica italiana… E qualche anno dopo ebbe fra i suoi dipendenti alla Compagnia Speciale Atleti alla Cecchignola un altro futuro DT, cioè Enzo Rossi. Tu ritieni, caro Giors, che siano questi gli unici addentellati fra la foto ed il mondo atletico nazionale? Ebbene, no.

    1 EUROPEAN VETERAN OUTDOORS RECORDS 2012 compiled by Ivar Söderlind, statistician of EVAA 25-07-2012 In 2012 up to July 25 I have registered 35 new or modified European Outdoor Records and 27 also are World Records or better than the official World Records. 23 of these new registered records are brought 2012. In 2011 I totally registered 49 new or modified European Records and 32 also were World Records. In the WMA Championship Indoors in Jyväskylä, FIN April 3 -8 2012 I noted four European Outdoor Records Stadia and one of these records also were World Records:W85 Hammer (World Record), M95 Hammer and M95 Javelin. In 2010 I changed in the Record Lists because of new equipments, weights, hurdles distances etc. from May 1 2010. WMA´s decided changes in the rules for veterans were then implemented. In K70+ and M80+, 300m hurdles have been replaced by 200 m hurdles (hurdle height 68.6 cm). In the European Record Lists we will present both old records (in 300m hurdles) and the new records (in 200m hurdles). In K75+ the weight in Shot Put and Hammer dropped from 3.0 kg to 2.0 kg and in weight throw it dropped from 5.45 to 4.0 kg. The old records in these throw events will be left up until it is better results with the new weights. In M60-M65, we have (since 2009) new hurdles distance of 60m hurdles indoor and 100m hurdles outdoor (12.00 meters from the start to the first hurdle and 16.00 meters from the last hurdles to the goal.) Observe that IAAF:s rules concerning the winds in Multievent competitions were changed in the congress at the World Championships in Berlin 2009 and the 4.0 m/s limit is not valid anymore! The only rule is the average of 2.0 m/s taken over all wind measured events.

Sono i miei primi Giochi Olimpici da presidente della Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera ed è un onore accompagnare a Tokyo la squadra italiana più ampia di sempre, animata da 76 atleti, che hanno inseguito e meri- tato la convocazione, frutto del loro impegno e del percorso che hanno compiuto insieme ai loro tecnici, alle società sul territorio, ai dirigenti: il gra- zie va a tutte le persone che li hanno scoperti, va- lorizzati, aiutati a crescere e sostenuti nel periodo più duro del Covid-19.
