SPSS Statistics version 24 Installation Guide for Mac users SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) is one of the most popular statistical packages which can perform highly complex data manipulation and analysis. Students can use SPSS at home and is available for installation on personal laptops and desktops. To use SPPS: Raise a service request ticket on www.city.ac.uk/itservicedesk, click on 'Log a Service Request'. Click on Software. Select 'Student Software Request' and then'SPSS'.
Complete all required fields on the service request form:
Download and print out the academic agreement form, sign and date it, scan it and then attach the scanned file using the attachment clip to the service request form.
You will receive an email to confirm further instructions.
The software key will be sent to your mailbox. Login into your City email to check and obtain the software key.
You are required to download the software after receiving the key. The links are provided in the first email. Alternatively, please go to the link below: www.city.ac.uk/current-students/it-support/resources-and-facilities/matlab- nvivo-oxmetrics- spss
If prompted to login, please use your City university username and password to login. Select SPSS Statistics – MAC OSX Installer
You will be prompted with an authentication window. Please fill in your City user name and password.
Once authenticated the download window will appear. Click Save File.
This will download the installation file in a compressed (.zip) format. Once download is finished: unzip the file by double tapping/clicking on it. After the file is unzipped, double-click the Install file to start the installation.
When the installation starts, the following screen will be displayed:
Click SPSS_Statistics_Installer
Click Open application
Select language then click OK
Introduction screen, click Next to proceed.
Click on “Accept the Terms..” and then Next
Python Essential: Leave this page as the default or make sure the Yes option is selected and click Next to proceed.
Accept Software License Agreement screen and click Next toproceed.
Choose the Install folder and click Next.
Click Install.
Click Done. Start the application and click on License Product on this screen.
Click on Next. Select Authorized user license and click Next.
Enter the code that was provided to you and click Next.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
Congratulations!!!
You have now successfully installed SPSS Statistics 23 on yourcomputer.
