IT GOES FAR BEYOND HOW YOU SPEND YOUR SUNDAYS AND GUIDES HOW YOU PLAN TO SPEND YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. SO EVEN AS YOU’RE LOOKING TO COLLEGE, YOU’RE LOOKING TO WHAT LIES BEYOND.

BOYCE COLLEGE IS ABOUT GOING BEYOND.

academics MINISTRY MISSIONS MARKETPLACE 14-33 14-19 20-23 24-27 not about faith.

Beyond just learning to learning about what matters most — God and his glory. Beyond just knowing about God to knowing and loving God himself — in a way that transforms all of life.

At , our theological core, community of discipleship, and wide range of opportunities to grow and serve provide an experience that goes beyond education. Expect all of who you are and what you do to be transformed by the power of .

AT BOYCE, EXPECT BEYOND.

It’s how you understand yourself and the world around you. The question isn’t whether you have a worldview, but whether your worldview is based on what’s true. At Boyce, we’re committed to giving you a lens to check your pre- scription, to make sure your worldview corresponds with what the Bible says. It’s throughout the curriculum — and not just for pastoral ministry majors or majors. A comprehensive Christian worldview is also important for degrees in business, teaching, and all other programs. With every degree, you’ll develop a cohesive worldview where academics and real life intersect.

The central distinctive of Boyce College is its emphasis on a comprehensive Christian worldview education. Boyce is about preparing a new generation of Christian young people to face a world that is increasingly pluralistic and secular and be able to apply all that the Scripture teaches and to be able to think about all things through the lens of a Christian worldview.

R. ALBERT MOHLER JR. | president The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce College

4 | BOYCE COLLEGE VIEWBOOK 5 Following is about more than just knowing certain truths.

It’s about those truths transforming your life so you follow Jesus in obedience. You can have a biblical worldview but not have a personal relationship with God. You can memorize Scripture and not be a Chris- tian. Jesus’ disciples were told to follow him and they obeyed. Their lives were transformed as they followed Jesus, dedicated their lives to him, and emulated him. Their lives stood out. A life of transformation affects everything we do here at Boyce. In our events, cha- pels, residential life, student organizations, and every facet of student life, we’re committed to helping you shape a life of discipleship. Beyond whatever GPA you get, we want you to be more deeply in love with Christ and live a life marked by godliness, wisdom, and love for your neighbor.

6 | BOYCE COLLEGE VIEWBOOK 7 God may call you to do something for the kingdom that will shock you.

We want to make sure students leave Boyce so deeply-rooted in God’s heart for the world that they are challenged to go beyond their comfort zone. God will call some students to major in business and live within 60 miles of their hometown. But let’s not fool ourselves into thinking that God only calls some of his children to have a heart for the four corners of the world; that the Great Commission only applies to pastors and missionaries. Whether you are a mis- sions, Bible, or theology major or you’re seeking to serve in the marketplace, in the public space of law and advocacy, in vocational ministry, or even in the home and in your family, your greatest joy will be as you give yourself to God’s mission in the world that every tribe, tongue, and nation will be counted among his people.

12 | BOYCE COLLEGE VIEWBOOK Each degree at Boyce College is built on a theological core.

Throughout the diverse programs at Boyce, nearly half of each degree is in biblical and theological studies. Every degree includes courses like hermeneutics, which teaches you how to interpret the Bible. Business students need to know that. Education and politics majors need to know that. Every student needs to know that. This theological core provides you with a rigorous and distinctly Christian classroom experience to shape within you the biblical vir- tues and worldview necessary to love God and neighbor.

13 Boyce was the place where I learned to preach and where I learned to interpret and understand the Bible. I'm so thankful for the faculty who invested their time in me at Boyce.

SEMINARY TRACK

Boyce College offers a Seminary Track concentration in Biblical and Theological Studies. The Seminary Track gives you the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity in as few as five years. There has never been a more rigorous and expedient way to prepare for gospel ministry.

The Boyce Seminary Track provides the opportunity to study with top scholars who are unapologetically committed to the Scriptures. I have been amazed at how much my professors care about more than just my academics, they care about me. Southern doesn’t want to just produce scholars, they want to cultivate Christ- like ministers of the Word for a world in need.
