Bible Study – MARCH 30, 2016 HOW TO EXPERIENCE A REVIVAL ______

SCRIPTURE: :1-7

“In the third year of King son of Elah of Israel, son of King of Judah began to reign. 2 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; he reigned for twenty-nine years in . His mother’s name was Abi daughter of Zechariah. 3 He did what was right in the sight of the LORD just as his ancestor had done. 4 He removed the high places, broke down the pillars, and cut down the sacred pole.[a] He broke in pieces the bronze that had made, for until those days the people of Israel had made offerings to it; it was called . 5 He trusted in the LORD the God of Israel; so that there was no one like him among all the after him, or among those who were before him. 6 For he held fast to the LORD; he did not depart from following him but kept the commandments that the LORD commanded Moses. 7 The LORD was with him; wherever he went, he prospered. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and would not serve him.”

REVIVAL – is defined as a renewed change in status, standing, and condition. It is a transformation of place, perception, and position that bring about an alteration in who you are, what you are, and where you are.

Reject Some Things From Your Past

“So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!” 2 Cor. 5:17

Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. 43:18-19

Reclaim Some Things From Your Past

“I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you” 2 Timothy 1:5

Repair Some Things that Happened in the Past

32 but I have prayed for you that your own faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.’ Luke 22:32

Remember the Power of PRAYER

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” :14
