Realization of such spectacular ritu- als at the grand head temple of Hinduism in Indonesia seems to assure the establishment of the reli- gion, even as a minority. In the background, however, there was a deepening conflict between the Bali-centrists, who regarded rituals and practices in Bali to be essential to Hinduism in Indonesia, and the faith-centrists, who adhered to Hinduism as a faith that has spread across the globe.
