Image File Backup System for Travel by Brad Cottrell

The file backup system described here is designed for use when every ounce of weight in your gear bag is a concern, and you would like to leave your at home. It consists of the AUDIANO adapter shown below and a few USB flash drives used in combination with your Android mobile phone or tablet with a USB Type C port. Using this system, image files on the memory card are backed up to a USB flash drive. No computer is required. Total weight of the system is about two ounces.

The AUDIANO USB Type C to CF/SD Card Reader/USB Type A Hub Adapter is available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TGHVLBH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie= UTF8&psc=1 The connector on this adapter fits the USB Type C port on your Android mobile device. Small USB flash drives are available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B3HGQQA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AK0X39W9 935WX&psc=1 or here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B3HKNOQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AK0X39W99 35WX&psc=1

For easy organization, use USB drives for backup that are of the same capacity as your memory cards. Then when your memory card is full and you switch to a new one, you can begin using a new USB drive for backup at the same time. You will also need to install the Plus app on your Android mobile device. The File Manager Plus app is available free in the Google Play Store.
