Exhibitions A Winter Wonderland Until Sunday 24 February The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery

Winter has provided inspiration for North Staffordshire potters for centuries. From Visions in Stone: Gilbert Ledward ’s ‘Winter’ jasper candlestick, modelled by William Hackwood, to ’s iconic ‘Christmas Tree’ design. A Winter Wonderland is a display of ceramics which shape, decoration and design has been inspired by winter and all that we associate with it. RA ‐ sculpture and drawings Until Sunday 31 March The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery The Collection of Ted Watkin As part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Academy, Visions in Stone explores Friday 25 January ‐ Monday 1 July The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery the work of the sculptor, Gilbert Ledward RA (1888‐1960). The works on display include Ledward’s sculpture in stone and bronze, as well as the sculptor’s drawings and design Ted Watkin was an active member and Chairman of both the North portfolios from the museum’s own collections.
