This research was conducted in May – August 2019 in three regencies of West Sumatera. The result of this research indicate that glutinous rice plants can grow to a height of 1086 meters above sea level with a coordinate point 0°33’27” South Latitude and 100°32’28” East Longitude. The highest plants are found in white glutinous rice ‘Puluik Tinggi’ that is 150,03 cm and the lowest plants are found in black glutinous rice ‘Puluk Itam’ that is 90,6 cm. Observation of the highest amount of leaves found in white glutinous rice germplast ‘Pulut Putih’ as many as 60,4 strands/clumps while the smallest amount of leaves obtained in white glutinous rice germplasm ‘Anak Ulek’ as many as 51,3 strands/clumps. The fastest harvest period in white glutinous rice germplast ‘Pulut Putih’ during 120 days and the longest harvest period in white glutinous rice ‘Kuku Balam’, ‘Puluik Tinggi’, ‘Puluk Putih’ and red glutinous rice ‘Puluk Sirah’ during 165 days. -

Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan berbagai pendekatan, yaitu pendekatan antropologis, pendekatan yuridis, pendekatan sosiologis dan pendekatan normatif syar’i. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini adalah Tokoh Adat, Tokoh Masyarakat, Tokoh Agama, dan Masyarakat biasa. Selanjutnya metode pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Tradisi ammone pa’balle raki’-raki’ di kel. Tamarunang, kec. Somba Opu kab. gowa merupakan bentuk rasa syukur kepada sang pencipta Allah SWT, ritual yang melambangkan simbol kelancaran yang di percaya agar acara pernikahan maupun khitanan yang akan di laksanakan berjalan dengan baik tanpa gangguan apapun. Tradisi ini di lakukan di sungai dengan menghanyutkan sesaji-sesaji, masyarakat percaya apabila tidak melakukan Tradisi Ammone Pa’balle Raki’-Raki’ akan terjadi hal-hal yang tidak di inginkan, seperti kesurupan atau dalam bahasa Makassar Napattauki dan akan di terserang penyakit pada dirinya. Pandangam Hukum Islam terhadap tradisi ini telah melenceng dari syariat islam karena orang yang melakukannya adalah musyrik. Tradisi ini merupakan Adat istiadat kerena merupakan termasuk budaya atau aturan-aturan yang berusaha di terapkan dalam lingkungan masyarakat, tetapi cara pelaksanaannya adalah bentuk kesalahan masyarakat yang tidak menyadari bahwa itu bertentangan dengan hukum Islam. -

Karim1* , Farah Adibah Che Ishak1, Mohd Mursyid Arsyad2, Supatra Karnjamapratum3 and Jiraporn Sirison3 Abstract The Malaysia’s cultural heritage is authentic, unique and colourful with various local cuisines of different races and cultures. It is mainly originated from the Malay culture being the largest ethnic group in the country. The Malays themselves have contributed to many local cuisines ranging from appetiser, soup, main course and dessert. However, some Malay heritage foods have almost been forgotten and jeopardized in quality. This is especially happening to the Malay sweets or desserts which have gradually become less appealing to the younger generations. They are not even familiar with Malay foods, let alone consuming them. Among the popular Malay heritage foods in Malaysia are lemang, ketupat, rendang, wajik and dodol. Dodol specifically has been listed as one of the endangered heritage foods in Malaysia. Preserving the Malay cuisines is part of sustaining the Malay culture and this should begin with a great amount of knowledge and understanding about any elements within the culture itself. This article highlights a nostalgic and evergreen Malay’s traditional sweet, known by the locals as dodol by discussing its history, different types and names of dodol, as well as the recipes, preparation, cooking methods and packaging. -

KAMPUNG BURASA’ : BASIS PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT UNIVERSITAS MUSLIM INDONESIA TERHADAP KELOMPOK USAHA BURASA’ DI DESA JE’NEMADINGING KABUPATEN GOWA 1 Sitti Rabiah 2 Universitas Muslim Indonesia / Pelaksana IbM DIKTI 2015 ABSTRAK Kawasan Mamminasata merupakan konsep pengembangan kota metropolitan yang digagas oleh Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan bersama Pemerintah Pusat untuk melakukan penataan meliputi kota Makassar, kabupaten Maros, kota Sungguminasa (kabupaten Gowa), dan kabupaten Takalar. Kawasan ini mencakup 46 kecamatan termasuk lokasi pengabdian pelaksana yakni di Kecamatan Pattalassang, Kabupaten Gowa. Temuan lapangan menunjukkan di kecamatan tersebut terdapat Desa Je’nemadinging yang dihuni oleh puluhan penjual burasa’ yang meurpakan bagian dari masyarakat Kabupaten Gowa dan berada pada golongan ekonomi lemah. Uniknya penjual burasa’ ini menjual produknya di kota Makassar, namun harus menempuh jarak berpuluh kilometer bahkan melewati kabupaten Maros terlebih dahulu. Aktivitas ini dilakukan sehari-hari, sepulang menjual burasa’-nya di siang hari, mereka mulai mempersiapkan bahan-bahan baku yang akan diolah untuk malam hari. Dapat digambarkan bahwa pekerjaan yang berlangsung selama 12 jam dengan menempuh jarak yang cukup jauh tentu memberikan penghasilan yang memadai bagi mereka. Namun usaha mereka yang besar tidak disertai dengan penghasilan yang besar. Setiap harinya mereka hanya memperoleh Rp. 100.000 untuk semua dagangan yang dijualnya yang mencapai 100 ikat burasa’. Penghasilan tersebut bukanlah penghasilan bersih, namun mereka masih harus menyisihkan untuk modal membeli bahan baku keesokan harinya. Realitas inilah yang menggugah pelaksana untuk melakukan pengabdian masyarakat kepada kelompok usaha burasa’ yang berdomisili di Desa Je’nemadinging. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas mitra untuk lebih berdaya saing tinggi dengan produk-produk kuliner tradisional lainnya serta mendorong mitra untuk menerapkan manajemen usaha yang efektif dan efisien. -

To empirically analyze the phenomenon of economic growth inclusiveness, the Poverty-Equivalent Growth Rate (PEGR) method is used. With the PEGR method, an Inclusive Growth Index for inequality (IGin) was formed using the Gini index and 60 percent of the lowest population expenditure. The model used is the Random Effects Model panel data regression analysis. From the PEGR method, it was found that in the provincial aggregate, inclusive growth in inequality in West Sumatra still needed to be improved. Throughout the observation period the provincial aggregate only in 2014 experienced inclusive growth in inequality. Health has a positive and significant effect at the five percent significance level, while education has a positive and significant effect at the 10 percent significance level. Government expenditure on infrastructure has a negative and significant effect at the five percent significance level, while economic growth has no statistically significant effect for inclusive growth in inequality in West Sumatra in the 2011-2016 period. -

BUDAYA SYAWALAN ATAU LOMBAN DI JEPARA: STUDI KOMPARASI AKHIR ABAD KE-19 DAN TAHUN 2013 Oleh Dr. Alamsyah, M.Hum1 Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Diponegoro ABSTRAK Lomban atau syawalan di Jepara telah berlangsung sejak ratusan tahun yang silam. Pada tahun 1868, kegiatan syawalan berlangsung semarak dengan didukung oleh bupati, lurah, dan masyarakat. Pesta rakyat Jepara ini dikunjungi masyarakat dari berbagai daerah seperti Rembang, Semarang, dan Juwana. Kegiatan yang dilakukan tujuh hari setelah lebaran pada tahun 1868 tidak terjadi di daerah lain. Bila dibandingkan aktivitas lomban tahun 1868 dengan tahun 2013 terdapat persamaan dan perbedaan. Persamaannya, kegiatan syawalan diwarnai oleh aktivitasi budaya melarung kepala kerbau. Bupati serta pejabat yang lain dan masyarakat guyub rukun mendukung aktivitas lomban ini. Perbedaannya adalah pada tahun 2013 terdapat pengembangan kegiatan antara lain pentas wayang kulit dan hiburan. Namun demikian, esensi dari kegiatan lomban masih tetap sama yaitu meminta kepada yang Maha Kuasa agar kegiatan mencari rezeki di laut pada tahun mendatang semakin mudah. This study aims to examine the emotional expression of the immigrants towards the Malay traditional food - the cultural heritage of the ethnic majority in Malaysia, in comparison to Malaysian Malay and Malaysian non-Malay. Through the visualization approach, participants were asked to respond to a series of Malay traditional food images and self-rated their emotional expression by using the Self-assessment Manikin. Emotional expression was significantly lower in immigrants in comparison to Malaysian Malay and Malaysian non-Malay. -

While Indonesia has made great strides in increasing the representation of women in political parties and as elected o"cials, as well as in civil service, ministries, commissions and the judiciary, there is still progress to be made. Experience demonstrates that the low participation of women in politics and government a#ects the quantity and quality of gender responsive public policies that concern both men and women. And while an increase in the numbers of women involved in creating gender responsive policies is crucial, it is also important that the capacity of all policy makers to create these types of regulations is developed.
