ARAUCANIA AND LAKE DISTRICT 6 VOLCANOES 14 DAYS TRIP

PROGRAM

Day 1: Arrival to Santiago Private transfer from Santiago airport to our Hotel. Our guide will await you at the Santiago airport to take you to your hotel. Dinner not included. Day 2: Santiago – Flight to Temuco – Drive to Malalcahuello. Private transfer from hotel to Santiago airport to take flight towards Temuco. Ground transfer to Nalcas National Forest in Mallacahuello. Lodging in mountain lodge (www.posadadelrio.cl), dinner. Day 3: Volcano (2,726m.) Breakfast in the morning. Drive 20km to volcano base. Climb Lonquimay volcano of 2.865m. Down back and transfer to our mountain lodge. Hot tub and dinner. Day 4: Sierra Nevada traverse (altitude 2.527m.) Breakfast. Today we will go across Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Traverse from Malalcahuello. 18k total (about 7 hours). Start our hike from Malalcahuello towards Sierra Nevada Summit. Great view of the Glacier and volcanoes around (, Lonquimay, , ). Down hill towards Conguillioo National park. Continue

Day 5: Sollipulli Volcano. Breakfast in the morning. Start our hike to Sollipulli summit (2,282m.) from our camp. Great view of wide glacier into the Sollipulli crater. Back to our eco camp. Hot tubs and dinner. Day 6: Drive to Pucon. After breakfast, we will initiate our ground transfer to Pucon, besides Vilarrica lake. Visit the village. Optional activities, mountain bike, rafting and more. Dinner not included. Day 7: Trekking Huerquehue National Park. Transfer to Huerquehue National Park. Spectacular green forest and multi lake trek where we can observe native trees like Lenga, Araucaria, Laurel, Tepa and Coigue, and birds like the red woodpecker. After this trek we will visit the natural and pleasant hot spring of Los Pozones waters of 35 y 40 Celsius degrees Back to Pucon. Dinner not included. Day 8: Villarrica Volcano (2,840m.) Climbing the active Villarrica volcano of 2.840m. Our hike start from fields and then on snow until the top of volcano. Here we can feel the power of nature that comes from into the crater. Back to Pucon. Dinner not included. Day 9: Drive to Choshuenco. Breakfast. Drive to Panquipulli lake visiting Calafken lake on the road. Arrives to Choshuenco. Lodge. Dinner. Day 10: Choshuenco Volcano (2,415m.) Drive to Huilo Huilo park. Climb Choshuenco volcano of 2.415m. volcano with specials characteristics by his broad plateau right after the crater summit. Back to Choshuenco. Dinner. Day 11: Drive to . Breakfast. Drive to Puerto Varas (4 hours). Free afternoon at Puerto Varas City. Dinner not included. Day 12: Osorno Volcano. If group are ok and still in fit after several volcanoes, we will attempt Osorno Volcano. This is a snow. Ice rute, te most technical volcano in this itinerary. We wll climb if the

If conditions are not optimal, we will choose a trekking o other activities such as rafting or MTB. Back to Puerto Varas. Dinner. Day 13: - Santiago. Transfer from Llanquihue to Puerto Montt airport. On the route we will visit Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt cities. Pick up at Santiago airport and transfer to our hotel. Dinner not included. Day 14: Santiago - Flight back. Transfer from the hotel to airport.

Upper body: - Wind proof and water proof Jacket, such as Gore Tex or similar layer - Fleece or pile coat - 2 polypropylene “T” shirt long sleeve - 2 polypropylene or cotton “T” shirt short sleeve - Cap of wool or fleece - Light Gloves

Lower body: - 3 or 4 pairs of socks (synthetic) - Lightweight polypropylene or Capilene (Patagonia brand) long underwear bottoms - Breathable and windproof pants - One trekking lightweight pant (quick dry) - Light trekking boots and sneakers
