FLEET TOWN V MONEYFIELDS FLEET TOWN v MONEYFIELDS nd Monday April 22 2019 – 3.00 P.M Evo-Stik League South Division 1 South Today’s Fleet Town ‘Man of the Match’ is Sponsored by Easi–Leaflets http://easi-leaflets.com SPONSORED BY Dear Flee t Town supporters, A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGER DAVE KELLY We welcome Moneyfields to Calthorpe Park, hopefully the management team, players, supporters and committee enjoy the day. With this being the last home game of the season. I don't want to look back on what might have been. Whatever happens regarding the league we will be in next season I know that the club is now secure and looking to build for the future. This season has had various challenges for us with league moves early on to managers leaving, players leaving and challenges that are faced on a regular basis with the day to day running which I have had to undertake alongside my own full time job together with managing the team. We can make a whole list of excuses on why we are in this position but instead of looking at all of these, I want to move forward and look to the future. We have a young talented team that have learned a great deal this season that will develop further alongside new signings that are planned over the summer. This will show our intent to get this great club back to winning games consistently. We have some exciting steps which we are taking that we will be able to let people know about after the game today in a Q&A with myself and the coaching team, this will take place in The Clubhouse at around 5.45pm. I will be staying on for next season whatever league we are in and I know a number of players have committed themselves to us already and see our long term plans as very exciting. Finally I would like to say a massive thank you to Richard, Claire, Carol and Harry who are sadly leaving the club after 15 plus years service. I know it's been a difficult decision for them to stand down but I know they will be staying on as supporters. I would like to thank them personally for believing in me and always taking the time to support me throughout this season. Whatever happens today I know the players will give absolutely everything alongside myself to get the result we want. Enjoy the match and ‘Come on you Blues’ Dave _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ CHAIRMAN: Sandy Riordan YOUTH TEAM MANAGER: Neil Selby VICE CHAIRMAN : Martin Waters CLUB HOUSE MANAGER : Caroline Bone COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Sandy Riordan, WEBSITE MANAGERS : Harry Cannon & Matt Thorne Harry Cannon, Darren Edwards, Nathan Cookson, Paul Elliott, CLUB WELFARE OFFICER : Chris Arnold Matthew Thorne & Martin Waters CLUB HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER : David Kelly CLUB SECRETARY : Matthew Thorne CLUB TREASURER : Sandy Riordan PROGRAMME EDITOR : Martin Griffiths FIRST TEAM MANAGER : David Kelly CLUB SHOP MANAGER : Claire Whittington ASSISTANT MANAGER : Tommy Taylor HOSPITALITY : Carol Black FIRST TEAM COACH : Chris Neate TEA BAR : Maria Horsenail SPORTS THERAPIST : Edward Hensby GROUNDSMAN ; Bryan Smith 01252 623804 www.fleettownfc.co.uk Fleet Town F.C. HARTLEY WINTNEY FC HISTORY Hartley Wintney Football Club History Hartley Wintney Football Club was founded in the North Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney in 1897 and played in an area adjacent to the village's golf and cricket clubs, the facilities not quite being up to today's standard, with only a horse trough or the pond to remove the heavy mud from a sub-standard pitch. The Club's nickname of 'The Row' comes from 'Hartley Row', a former hamlet within Hartley Wintney. In 1953, the club moved to its present ground in Green Lane, known as 'The Memorial Ground'. A pavilion was erected and the team played in the Basingstoke League and, later, in the Aldershot League. In 1973, an influx of players under new manager Glynn Howell put the club firmly on the local football map. In his six year reign, the team won the Aldershot Senior League three times in succession, and the Aldershot Senior Cup. Hamble Club FC WELCOME! All at Hamble Club FC welcome you to our second League game of the 21/22 campaign against Shaftesbury FC. We welcome you to The Abbey and hope you enjoy game day. #UTM BIG thanks to our Sponsors this season. Massala Indian Restaurant Finley Parsons Rosie Hall Hamble Club FC Club History More than one year has been traced for the formation of Hamble Club, but it is 1969 which is deemed to be correct. Formed as Hamble FC, they made steady progress through the Southampton Junior League before merging with a Sunday team called Hamble Club and adopted their current name in 1981. From the senior divisions, Hamble Club were promoted to the Hampshire League in 1993. They moved from their old Mount Pleasant base to the old College Fields and made a further move to what was then known as the Shell-Max Ground during the 2002/03 season, which remains their present home. Wessex members between 2004 and 2007, Hamble became Hampshire Premier League founders but failed to complete the 2012/13 season and had to start a division lower. This heralded the start of an upturn as they gained four promotions in five years, including one in their first season back in the Wessex League in 2017. The Club was established in 1969, originally as a youth team. In 1993, they joined Division Three of the Hampshire League. The Club were Division Three champions in 1996/97 earning promotion to Division Two. In 2004, the Hampshire League merged into the Wessex League, with Hamble becoming members of the new Division Three.
