INTERNATIONAL WEEK: Doing Business in Mexico

The Doing Business in Mexico seminar is a weeklong program that gives participants the opportunity to learn about Mexico as an emerging market while interacting with colleagues from Mexico and other visiting countries.

Visits to leading companies in Mexico The Program includes visits to successful companies so students can become familiar with daily operations of enterprises in Mexico.

Among the activities that took place in previous editions of the International Week, there was a series of lectures given by Eduardo Osuna (CEO of BBVA Bancomer), Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal (former Secretary of Economy), and José Manuel Arana Escobar (CEO of Grupo Industrial Saltillo). The Career Services Office (CEDIC) seeks to link companies and participants in the IPADE’s Full-Time MBA Program through its main objectives: to offer participants personal support with the necessary tools to effectively search for summer internships and permanent employment; to give advice on job-search techniques, providing outreach to companies by assisting Full-Time MBA participants throughout the recruiting and employment process and, to support companies in their strategic recruitment.

IPADE’s Case Competition It is a case study contest that provides the Full-Time MBA participants with an opportunity to improve and refine their strategic, analytical and synthesis skills. Additionally, the challenge demands adaptability from participants. IPADE has two case competitions, each of them in collaboration with BBVA Bancomer and Laboratorios PISA. IPADE encourages Full-Time MBA participants to form and participate in different student clubs with the purpose of:

Social Responsibility

Every year, the Full-Time MBA students take part in the “Social Responsibility Day”, a social activity carried out at El Peñón (for boys) and Montefalco (for girls) rural schools. The Full-Time MBA Social Innovation Students’ Club is in charge of making a project for such schools and help their students.

During the Social Responsibility Day, the Full-Time MBA participants organize activities such as design thinking workshops, speed and trust games or the creation of a business for the boys and girls of El Peñón and Montefalco. These activities reinforce IPADE’s commitment to inspire leaders with a social sense.

The MBA World Cup

It’s the world’s oldest soccer tournament among leading MBA Programs. Founded by Peter Grieve, it has been held annually at the Tuck School of Business in Hanover, New Hampshire since 1984.
