NUCB Undergraduate School International Exchanges

NUCB Undergraduate School was founded by Dr. Yuichi Kurimoto in 1953 and is recognized by the motto ‘Frontier Spirit’, symbolizing the strong spirit of being at the frontier of knowledge and communications. It is a private university situated in Nisshin, just outside Japan’s third-largest city, Nagoya. NUCB Undergraduate School has just over 3,500 students and 100 lecturers and professors. The university has a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research and has developed alliances with several educational institutions in Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America.

NUCB Undergraduate School was the first AACSB-accredited undergraduate institution in Japan by achieving it in 2006 and successfully maintained it to date. AACSB-accredited schools have better programs, better faculty, better students with higher overall GPAs, more international students, more employers that recruit from them, and graduates that receive better salaries. NUCB , our of Management, was the first institution in Japan to hold dual accreditation by both AACSB and AMBA.

NUCB Undergraduate School has a global network of 108 leading business schools across 48 countries. Eighty-six percent of these are accredited by at least one of the three international accreditation bodies: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. Over 100 students from leading business schools around the world select NUCB Undergraduate School each year for their study exchange program. These include students from EDHEC Business School, Rotterdam School of Management, University of St. Gallen, ESAN Graduate School of Business, among others. In addition, more than 35% of PIM members are our partner schools. As part of our commitment to excellence and ongoing contribution to international management education, we are actively engaged with these partner schools through various types of programs and initiatives. Agreements with our partner schools include, but is not limited to, the following areas:

Nagoya - The Most Dynamic Area in Japan NUCB Undergraduate School is situated in Nisshin city, with a rural background just east of Nagoya which is centrally located in Japan, making access to Kyoto and fast and convenient. We offer an all-English degree program at the Bachelor level for undergraduate students through our Global BBA program. The goal of our program is to cultivate highly skilled professionals who develop a global perspective, a strong sense of ethics, and the ability to contribute positively to the international business community.

Nagoya is a center of manufacturing craftsmanship, with strong connections to the automotive, aircraft, and industrial robot industries. A distinctive food culture exists full of local delicacies such as Kishimen (noodles), Tebasaki (chicken wings), Misonikomi (miso boiled udon), and much more. Nagoya’s population density is only one-third of that of Tokyo or Osaka. The city has many lush parks that are great for enjoying the weather, jogging, or taking part in the many seasonal events that are held in the city. greaternagoya.org/en/ It’s also a great place for enjoying professional sporting events such as baseball and soccer as well as the annual Nagoya Tournament of the Japan Sumo Association. There are many well-known tourist spots, such as Hida-Takayama in Gifu or Ise and Toba in Mie, which are easily reached by train from Nagoya. Nagoya also has a well-developed public transportation network of subway and bus lines that make commuting or shopping very easy.
