● Folding Padeyes in the cockpit to attach your safety-harness tether are recommended. ● Don't use a stanchion or a pedestal guardrail as your attachment point. ● Never come on deck unless you are clipped to the boat. ● Padeyes on the companionway Stairs or the salon floor provide for safe attachment below deck Harnesses

● All crewmembers should have a strobe attached to their harnesses at all times.

HMR Notes: “SOLAS Flares are strongly recommended but current US Coast Guard approved flares may be used in lieu of SOLAS flares.”

A boat shall carry either a 406MHz EPIRB which is properly registered to the boat, or a floating 406MHz Personal Locator Beacon, registered to the owner with a notation in the registration that it is aboard the boat. After 01/01/2016, this device shall be equipped with an internal GPS
