BY-LAW NO. 92-18

BEING A BY-LAW TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS TO VARIOUS BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES AND TO RESCIND BY-LAW NO. 11-15 BEING A BY-LAW TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS TO VARIOUS BOARDS AND COMMITTEES

WHEREAS Section 5(3) of the Municipal Act, 2001 , as amended, requires that all municipal powers be exercised by by-law; and

WHEREAS Section 10(2)(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, authorizes single-tier municipalities to pass by-laws respecting the governance structure of the municipality and its local boards; and

WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout deems it advisable to make Council Member and citizen appointments to various boards, commissions and committees;

NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SIOUX LOOKOUT ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. THAT Council appointments to various boards, commissions and committees shall be maintained as Schedule A, attached hereto and forming part of this By law.

2. THAT Schedule A may be amended as required and all such amendments shall be made by resolution of Council without an amendment to this By-law.

3. THAT By-law No. 11-15 (Being a By-law to Make Appointments to Various Boards and Committees) be and is hereby rescinded.

4. THAT this By-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of its final passing.
