Excursions & Safaris from Nairobi

· It is strongly recommended to book any multiple-day tours well in advance, especially since the weekend following the COP is Easter. · For tours booked and paid for by February 28, 2000, you will receive an early bird discount of 10%.

CITES 1 - US$ 45.- per person Daily at 2.00p.m. (4 hours) Drive towards the Ngong Hills to the former home of Karen Blixen – author of ''Out of Africa''. Now a museum, you may explore the beautiful house and grounds at leisure before proceeding to the Giraffe Center. There you will be able to see at close range the famous Rothschild giraffe and her family in their serene surroundings. After tea (on your own) at the Giraffe Center, return to Nairobi in the early evening.

CITES 2 - US$ 65.- per person Daily at 2.00p.m. (4 hours) There is no better way to spend an afternoon than exploring this unspoiled wildlife haven, just 13 km from the center of Nairobi. The park is home to most of the major animal species (except Elephant) and is also a Rhino sanctuary. Athi River, which is a natural boundary to the park, provides shady walks through a riverine forest, well populated with Monkeys and Birds, as well as Hippos and Crocodiles in the river pools. Large populations of Giraffe, Wildebeest, Eland and Thompson's Gazelle dominate the plains. Enjoy the sunset at the end of the visit.

CITES 3 - BOMAS OF KENYA US$ 50.- per person Daily at 2.00p.m. (4 hours) Kenya’s cultural center is a celebration of traditional dancing from all over Kenya and other parts of Africa. The dances depict events in the lives of the different tribes. Visit also authentic “Bomas” (villages) which have been constructed here, representative of the country's 16 main ethnic tribes.

CITES 4 - LAKE - FULL DAY US$ 145.- per person Daily (lunch included) Depart early in the morning for a scenic drive west into the Great Rift Valley and on to National Park - home of pink Flamingos, who live on the abundant algae in the shallow waters of the lake. After lunch in the park there will be another game drive to admire the amazing bird-life and various plains game. An area of the lake Nakuru National Park has been fenced for the conservation of Rhino. On your way back you will stop en route at the picturesque Lake for afternoon tea at the Country Club and return to Nairobi before darkness.

CITES 5 - CARNIVORE EXPERIENCE US$ 40.- per person Daily at 7.00p.m. Dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant is a gastronomic experience not to be missed. Every type of meat imaginable, including a selection of game, is roasted over charcoal and carved at your table. Delicious side dishes and an exceptional array of sauces complement this feast which also includes soup, a selection of desserts and Kenyan coffee. Terrific ambience! The Carnivore is also home to the Simba Saloon, Nairobi's most popular nightclub. The indoor/outdoor atmosphere, exceptional snacks, and the pulsating rhythms of Africa combine to ensure an exciting night out. Kilimanjaro. You will arrive in Amboseli National Park in time for lunch at Ol Tukai Lodge. After lunch you will have a game drive, viewing Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Cheetah, Leopard, Buffalo and Antelope abound and, with luck, you will also get a magnificent view of the snow-capped Mt.Kilimanjaro. 2 Dinners and 2 overnights at Ol Tukai Lodge. DAY 2 - Morning and afternoon game viewing. DAY 3 - After breakfast you will enjoy a leisurely drive back to Nairobi.

After lunch continue to the Ark Lodge or Treetops Hotel for an exciting overnight stay. Late afternoon game viewing from the lodge. Here guests can relax in comfort and observe animals such as Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo gathering to drink at the floodlit waterhole until well into the night. Return to Nairobi the following day after breakfast.

CITES 8 – 2 DAYS/ 1 NIGHT MOUNT KENYA SAFARI CLUB BY AIR - FULL BOARD US$ 355.- Per Person Sharing April 21 – 24 US $ 405.- US$ 65.- Single Supplement April 21 – 24 US $ 90.- DAY 1 - After breakfast you will be transferred to Wilson city airport for your 30 min. flight to Nanyuki. On the slopes of Africa’s second highest mountain, the Mount Kenya Safari Club, straddles the Equator at an altitude of 2135 meters in a glory of elegant buildings set amid manicured lawns and decorative ponds and bird live abound. Founded in 1959 by the late actor William Holden, the club offers a wild animal orphanage, a 9-hole golf course, horse trekking, tennis courts, health and beauty center, shopping gallery and a heated swimming pool facing Mount Kenya. A perfect place to relax, enjoy high tea and, perhaps dinner in the members’ private dining room. DAY 2 - After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.

CITES 9 - 3 DAYS/ 2NIGHTS FLY SAFARI TO MAASAI MARA - FULL BOARD US$ 570.- Per person Sharing April 21 – 24 US $ 680.- Nil Single Supplement April 21 – 24 US $ 140.- DAY 1 - After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight over the Rift Valley to Masai Mara, Kenya’s most spectacular game reserve. Spend the next two nights at the Mara Intrepid Club, Kichwa Tembo Luxury Tent Camp or the Mara Safari Club. Several rivers along which most of the lodges are built serve the Masai Mara. These rivers are home to Hippos and Crocodiles. Apart from the plains' game, the Mara is also a host to Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Cheetah, Elephant and Buffalo. DAY 2 - Game viewing in 4 WD Landruiser, beginning just after sunrise while the dew is fresh on the grass and the animals are active. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Another game drive follows just before lunch. Afternoon tea will be followed by a third, quite fascinating game drive, as it is feeding time for the animals. DAY 3 - After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. .

On arrival you will be met and transferred to Leisure Lodge Hotel, a top resort on Diani beach. DAY 2 -3 - Spend the days at leisure, enjoy the hotel facilities and play golf. You can also walk on the beach, visit the Old Town of Mombasa, go to theCrocodile Farm or just relax by the swimming pools. Scuba diving lessons can also be taken at the diving school. DAY 4 - After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Nairobi
