Steve Suk Jung Lim Chairman & Managing Partner

Experience Steve leads and oversees key efforts including deal origination, investment and fundraising. He chairs the Investment Committee and Senior Advisory Board of SJL Partners. He has over 35 years of combined experience in private equity investments and investment banking.

Prior to founding SJL Partners, he led CVC Capital Partners in Korea as Chairman and Partner, a member of the Asia Investment Committee, Asia Executive Committee and Asia Board, and actively evaluated and oversaw investment opportunities in Korea and the Asia Pacific region. Before CVC, as the longest-run country chief executive officer of Korea, he successfully built J.P. Morgan’s Korea investment banking franchise into the market leader across all sectors and products with over $56 billion of successfully closed M&A transactions, $92 billion of debt issuances, and $36 billion of equity and equity-linked offerings for over 20 years. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he worked at Salomon Brothers in New York, Tokyo and , where he originated and executed numerous M&A and capital markets transactions. He also worked at Kidder Peabody & Co in New York and Proctor & Gamble Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Education Steve holds an Executive MBA (APC) from New York University and an MBA from George Washington University. He received his BA in Economics from Korea University. OUR TEAM

Thomas J. Kichler Operating Partner

Experience Tom is an Operating Partner at SJL Partners. He currently also serves as Senior Advisor at CVC Capital Partners, and he was previously a Partner and US Head of Industrials and Energy at CVC. Prior to joining CVC, he served as a Managing Director and Partner at One Equity Partners LLC for 14 years. Prior to his work as an investor in private equity, he spent 19 years in investment banking. He was a Managing Director at Citi and its predecessor Salomon Brothers. He also worked at Wasserstein Perella and at Ernst & Young. In total, he advised on over 100 completed mergers and acquisition transactions with an aggregate transaction value exceeding $50 billion, mostly in the industrial and consumer industry groups. Tom led, co-led or directed 21 investments with equity invested in excess of $4 billion. He currently serves as Chairman at Anchor Glass Container Corporation since 2016, and as a director at Momentive Performance Materials since 2019. He previously served as Chairman or director on a number of private and public companies including Progress Rail Services (now Caterpillar), LBC Tank Terminals, Columbian Chemicals (now Birla Carbon), PeroxyChem (now Evonik), Sonneborn Refined Products (now Holly Frontier), East Balt Bakeries (now Grupo Bimbo), Patil Rail Services Ltd., Western Hospitals (now Apollo Hospitals), Expert Global Solutions (now Alorica) and Polarcus Ltd. He has over 18 years of experience in the private equity industry and a proven track record in numerous transactions across the industrials and energy sector. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Allen Han Senior Advisor

Experience Allen, as senior operational advisor, assesses strategic operational value creation opportunities for SJL’s investments. Allen has over 30 years of experience in private equity investments, manufacturing industries and consulting.

Prior to advising SJL Partners, Allen was partner and Head of Asia Operations Team at CVC Capital Partners, supporting all of CVC’s industrial investments in Asia during his tenure. Before CVC, he was vice president and general manager at Honeywell’s Global Sensing business and Security Group’s business in Asia Pacific. Prior to Honeywell, Allen worked at General Electric Company where he held various senior positions. He also worked at Booz Allen & Hamilton.

Education Allen holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. He received a BS from National Taiwan University. OUR TEAM

Woosung Jung Managing Director

Experience Woosung is based in Seoul and is responsible for the origination and execution of investments. He has over 22 years of experience in investment banking and management consulting.

Prior to joining SJL Partners, Woosung was a Director at Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking division in Seoul. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan’s Asia Energy Investment Banking team in Hong Kong, focusing on M&A and capital markets transactions for clients in the Asia energy sector. He also previously worked as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman, leading various corporate restructuring and growth strategy projects.

Education Woosung holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He received his BBA from Yonsei University. OUR TEAM

Sungjae Lee Managing Director

Experience Sungjae is responsible for deal origination and execution at SJL Partners. He has 17 years of experience in SWF investments and investment banking.

Prior to joining SJL he was VP of Business Development at Fullerton Financial Holdings, a subsidiary of Temasek focused on strategic investments in financial institutions in Asia. Before Fullerton, Sungjae spent 11 years at JPMorgan investment banking specializing in M&A for industry and coverage teams in Singapore, Hong Kong and Seoul.

Education Sungjae received an MBA (High Honors) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University. OUR TEAM

Anna Kyuhee Kim CFO & COO

Experience Anna is based in Seoul, and is SJL Partners’ Chief Financial and Operating Officer, also responsible for LP relations.

Prior to joining SJL Partners, Anna was the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at J.P. Morgan Investment Advisors Korea. She also served as a business manager exploring new business areas and developing new strategies, and as Chief Financial Officer of J.P. Morgan Asset Management Korea. Prior to J.P. Morgan, she worked as a Certified Public Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Seoul and in Boston.

Education Anna received a BA in English Language and Literature from Ewha Womans University. OUR TEAM

JP Park Executive Director

Experience JP is based in Seoul and is primarily responsible for leading the execution of investments.

Prior to joining SJL Partners, JP was a vice president in J.P. Morgan’s investment banking coverage team in Seoul, supporting the origination and leading the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions mainly for corporate and sponsor clients based in Korea. He also previously worked at Anchor Equity Partners, where he evaluated investment opportunities in Korea and the Asia- Pacific region.

Kyumin Kang Associate

Experience Prior to joining SJL Partners, Kyumin worked in the Leveraged Finance Group at BNP Paribas based in New York, supporting the structuring and syndication of leveraged loans and high-yield bonds for corporate and sponsor clients.

Wesley Kang Analyst

Experience Prior to joining SJL Partners, Wesley worked in the Global Healthcare Group at UBS Investment Bank based in New York, providing financial advisory services to corporate and sponsor clients seeking mergers and acquisitions, and financing opportunities.
