Issue 33 Central Trains shows off refurbished Class 150s Newsdesk

The first Central Trains/Centro Class 150 Sprinter was delivered back to Maintrain at Tyseley Depot on 15 March, following a programme of unit enhancements completed by Wabtec Rail at Doncaster. In addition to being given the new Central Trains/Centro livery, new floor coverings have been laid throughout, the toilets have been renovated, better lighting installed and the door mechanisms repaired and renewed as necessary. A range of technical improvements have also been carried out during the £1.3 million refurbishment, including a driving cab refit and new headlight clusters. New seat covers were funded by Centro-PTA some 18 months ago and these have been thoroughly cleaned.
