Matchups for 2021 Myrtle Beach Invitational Revealed
The matchups for the 2021 Myrtle Beach Invitational have been unveiled. The third annual event will be played November 18, 19 and 21 at the HTC Center in Conway, S. C.
The Myrtle Beach Invitational showcases 2021 post-season participants Davidson (Atlantic 10), Oklahoma (Big 12), and Utah State (Mountain West) along East Carolina (The American), Indiana State (Missouri Valley), New Mexico State (Western Athletic), Old Dominion (Conference USA) and Penn (Ivy).
Oklahoma posted a 16-11 record last season and split a pair of NCAA Tournament games by defeating Missouri and losing to eventual national runner-up Gonzaga. Utah State finished with a 20-9 record last season and lost to Texas Tech in the NCAA first-round. Davidson was 13-9 for the 2020-2021 campaign and competed in the NIT as Bob McKillop returns for his 33rd season with the Wildcats where he has compiled 607 wins and netted 18 post-season appearances. East Carolina’s 2020-21 season was highlighted by an upset win over Final Four participant Houston. Only Gonzaga, Virginia, Houston and Belmont have a better winning percentage (95-25, 79.2%) than New Mexico State since the start of the 2017-2018 season (357 Division I schools) with the win total tied for 15th on the list. Porter Moser (Oklahoma), Ryan Odum (Utah State) and Josh Schertz (Indiana State) will be coaching their first- seasons at their respective schools. Appearances by East Carolina. Oklahoma and Old Dominion marks the third-straight year schools from The American, Big 12 and Conference USA have competed in the Myrtle Beach Invitational; Atlantic 10 (Davidson) and Missouri Valley (Indiana State) will have a school competing for the second time; The Ivy League (Penn), Mountain West (Utah State) and the Western Athletic (New Mexico State) will be represented in the event for the first time.

Owned and operated by ESPN Events, the pre-sale for All-Tournament tickets will be running from July 28 through August 31. Regular priced All-Tournament tickets will begin September 1 with the sale of single-session tickets starting November 1.

UCF captured the inaugural Myrtle Beach Invitational by defeating Western Kentucky in 2018. Baylor topped Villanova for the 2019 Myrtle Beach Invitational title.
