Their making usually reflects a determination on the part of the director or star to see the artist as an alter-ego. Many of them were adaptations of successful literary works, which tempted financial backers by having a ready-made audience based on a pre-established reputation. The sub-genre’s development is explored via the grouping of films with associated themes and the use of case studies. -

Cuerpo y muerte: la sexualidad que exhala Alejandra Pizarnik a través de la muerte deseada Paola Calahorrano e University of Arizona A veces, de noche, enciendo la luz para no ver mi propia oscuridad Antonio Porchia i la muerte, ese anhelado # n del dolor, no llega, habría que vivir haciendo el amor. Pero “Buma” está sola y tampoco se dan para ella los deseados momentos de Séxtasis físico. ¿De qué sirve vivir? Hay que vivir para evitar el dolor y éste se evita escribiendo, ergo hay que escribir para no sufrir. Así, a partir de los 19 años, la palabra es el exorcismo de la argentina Alejandra Pizarnik y ella, a la vez, es personaje. Había nacido el 29 de abril de 1936 en Avellaneda, provincia de Buenos Aires, y muerto el 25 de septiembre de 1972, a los 36 años, producto de una sobredosis de 50 pastillas de seconal sódico. “Buma”, como la llamaban en su adolescencia, se entregó en cuerpo y alma a la poética, aunque rozó los campos de la prosa y el ensayo. Su autenticidad se re( eja en un incesante dolor que convierte su poesía en una de las máximas de la literatura surrealista hispanomericana (según César Aira, Pizarnik vivió, leyó y escribió en la estela del surrealismo). A través de obras estudiadas por la autora del presente ensayo, como sus Diarios, versos de uno de los considerados sus máximos poemarios, La extracción de la piedra de la locura , escrito en 1968, y fragmentos de La condesa sangrienta , se puede percibir su perspectiva de vida y la anhelada muerte, que -al igual que la noche- es el rincón recurrente de las letras de la argentina, escritas sobremanera con visceralidad espontánea. -

Se las seleccionó por considerar sus trayectorias especialmente significativas a causa de la heterodoxia de sus relaciones con lo trascendente y por la resolución contradictoria de sus búsquedas respectivas: la tristeza y la duda que acompañan a Orozco hasta el final en su apasionada búsqueda por entrar en contacto con la divinidad; el desgarramiento y el dolor extremo de Pizarnik ante el fracaso de su concepción ontologizante de la poesía, y el regocijo afirmativo final de Biagioni, más allá de lo accidentado de su tra- yectoria y de su ruptura con el pensamiento dualista. Abstract: This work analyzes the different ways the quest for transcendence takes in the poetry of Olga Orozco, Amelia Biagioni and Alejandra Pizarnik. The three poets have been chosen because their work is considered especially important, due both to their unorthodox relationships with transcendence and to the contradictory results of their quests. Orozco is besieged by sadness and doubt during all her passionate quest for getting in touch with God; atheist Pizarnik fails when trying to make poetry a substitute for religion and is overwhelmed by deep pain and distress; Biagioni, in spite of the treacherous path she follows, feels finally rejoiced when meeting transcendence beyond dualist thought.
