GSF Agency List Guide Sep 2.5 the Object of This Document Is to Consolidate in One Guide Entities That Are Classified As GSF Agencies for the Purposes of the GSF Act Based on Published Version of the GSF Act – October 2018 Disclaimer: This list is intended as an indicative guide to the entities which are GSF agencies under the GSF Act. It is not intended to be a definitive list, and should not be relied upon when considering the application of the Act to a particular set of circumstances. Agencies and others should, instead, have regard to the definition of ‘GSF agency’ used in the Act itself and obtain appropriate advice when in doubt. This list may be updated periodically. Please check the website for the latest version. Key Separate GSF agency per s GSF Agency List Guide Sep 2.5 The object of this document is to consolidate in one guide entities that are classified as GSF agencies for the purposes of the GSF Act. The GSF Act expressly excludes certain entities from the definition of a Listed agency per s 2.4(b)-(g) GSF agency (refer to s 2.4(4)), e.g. the Legislature of NSW. These entities are omitted from the table. Listed The table lists the entities for each Cluster. It identifies: State Owned Corporation as SOC • the entity’s Class (i.e. the relevant category under s 2.4 of the GSF Act, please refer to Key), per s2.4(1)(h) • the Relevant Legislation of the entity, and the entity’s Accountable Authority. • Statutory body representing the Statutory Crown s 2.4(1)(i) Body Instructions for this list To keep this list up to date and useful, relevant persons in the Cluster/GSF agencies are to: NSW Government Agency per • notify Treasury of any new GSF agencies (note: under the GSF Act, an Accountable Authority has an NSW GA obligation to notify the Treasurer and the Auditor-General of any new GSF agencies within 1 month s 2.4(1)(i) after the entity becomes a GSF agency (refer s 2.8(1)). Public Service Agency as per s • notify Treasury of any GSF agencies abolished/dissolved. We now submit the final report of that Inquiry. The 2019-20 bush fires were some of the worst in the world and in recorded history. The Inquiry has worked to understand what happened during the 2019-20 bush fire season and how it was different to seasons that have come before. It makes 76 recommendations for future improvements to how NSW plans and prepares for, and responds to, bush fires. Some of these recommendations are for immediate action; others for actions that need to start now but will take some time to complete. Noting the breadth of the Inquiry’s Terms of Reference, the recommendations range from improvements to operational systems and processes through to significant research and strategic policy frameworks that require further development and consultation with key stakeholders.     Privacy Management Plan March 2021 Policy Statement This Privacy Management Plan (PMP) meets the requirement for such a Plan under section 33 of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PIPP Act) by demonstrating to members of the public how Service NSW meets its privacy obligations under that Act and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (HRIP Act) and upholds and respects the privacy of our customers, employees and others about whom we hold personal information. It also acts as a reference for employees of Service NSW, to explain how we comply with the requirements of the PPIP and HRIP Acts, and to prompt Service NSW employees, contractors and service providers to seek further advice where unsure about applicable privacy requirements. The Commission has found that the health of each of these rivers is affected, to varying degrees, by water extraction, sewage and stormwater discharge, urban and rural development. It has become clear that if river health is to be optimised whilst preserving the many uses that the catchment communities expect of their watercourses, the three river systems cannot be managed in isolation from each other. Likewise, key elements of the water cycle must be managed across the metropolitan area in an integrated way. Stormwater and sewage effluent must no longer be thought of as ‘wastewater’ but as a valuable resource and part of the total water cycle available to improve river health and ameliorate demand on supply for the wider Sydney region. The Commission has devised strategies and recommendations to improve river health, taking into account the expectations and needs of the diverse and growing community.
