By His Excellency’s Command, GLADYS BEREJIKLIAN, MP Premier Published LW 2 April 2019 (2019 No 157) Administrative Arrangements (Administration of Acts—General) Order 2019 [NSW] Administrative Arrangements (Administration of Acts—General) Order 2019 under the Constitution Act 1902 1 Name of Order This Order is the Administrative Arrangements (Administration of Acts—General) Order 2019. 2 Commencement This Order commences on 2 April 2019 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website. 3 Allocation of the administration of Acts (1) The administration of the Acts listed in Schedule 1 are allocated to the Ministers indicated in that Schedule. (2) The administration of Acts or parts of Acts that directly amend other Acts are allocated to the Ministers administering the Act amended. (3) The allocations made by this Order replace any previous allocations relating to the Acts concerned. Note. See section 15 of the Interpretation Act 1987 for the interpretation of references to “the Minister” in an Act. We now submit the final report of that Inquiry. The 2019-20 bush fires were some of the worst in the world and in recorded history. The Inquiry has worked to understand what happened during the 2019-20 bush fire season and how it was different to seasons that have come before. It makes 76 recommendations for future improvements to how NSW plans and prepares for, and responds to, bush fires. Some of these recommendations are for immediate action; others for actions that need to start now but will take some time to complete. Noting the breadth of the Inquiry’s Terms of Reference, the recommendations range from improvements to operational systems and processes through to significant research and strategic policy frameworks that require further development and consultation with key stakeholders.     Privacy Management Plan March 2021 Policy Statement This Privacy Management Plan (PMP) meets the requirement for such a Plan under section 33 of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PIPP Act) by demonstrating to members of the public how Service NSW meets its privacy obligations under that Act and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (HRIP Act) and upholds and respects the privacy of our customers, employees and others about whom we hold personal information. It also acts as a reference for employees of Service NSW, to explain how we comply with the requirements of the PPIP and HRIP Acts, and to prompt Service NSW employees, contractors and service providers to seek further advice where unsure about applicable privacy requirements. This PMP sets out the privacy obligations of Service NSW and its partner agencies, explains which exemptions Service NSW commonly relies on and sets out the process for undertaking internal reviews. Service NSW commits itself to operating in accordance with this PMP and regularly reviewing its performance against this PMP. The Commission has found that the health of each of these rivers is affected, to varying degrees, by water extraction, sewage and stormwater discharge, urban and rural development. It has become clear that if river health is to be optimised whilst preserving the many uses that the catchment communities expect of their watercourses, the three river systems cannot be managed in isolation from each other. Likewise, key elements of the water cycle must be managed across the metropolitan area in an integrated way. Stormwater and sewage effluent must no longer be thought of as ‘wastewater’ but as a valuable resource and part of the total water cycle available to improve river health and ameliorate demand on supply for the wider Sydney region. The Commission has devised strategies and recommendations to improve river health, taking into account the expectations and needs of the diverse and growing community.
