Shortly after, a peddler entered the store selling hard candy and recipes. He took Angelo aside and told him he would sell him, and only him, a recipe for the perfect hot fudge. Angelo accepted the offer, and for 25 dollars he owned the recipe. Luigia was furious with him for spending so much money.
