11 Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, (bow) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy catholic and apostolic Church.

17 A Message of Gratitude...
I am deeply grateful to many people for the love and support they have given me in my life. Their encouragement has been, and continues to be, a precious gift during my sojourn on earth. I would like to thank my catechists and teachers who helped develop my understanding and appreciation for the Lord in my youth. Thanks to the many clergy members I have encountered over the years, who witness to the Gospel with their lives. I would especially like to thank Father Robert Schikora, Father Stephen Blaxton, Father Richard Jozwiak, and Father James Arwady, who had a particular role in my discernment. I would like to thank Kellie Deming and the Lay Ministry program team for helping nudge me along the path to further conversion. Thanks to the many priests, deacons and lay people who contributed to my diaconal formation. A special thank you to Dr. Dan Osborn who challenged me to develop intellectually and spiritually over the past 5 years. I would like to thank my brother Jeff, and my sisters Rachel and Emily, for the ways that have put up with me over the years! They know I am a slow mover on the road to holiness. I would like to thank my parents for passing on the faith to me and my siblings. They were my first teachers in the faith, and set me on the path to God. To my children Amelia, Madeline, Vivienne, Catherine, and Leo who are a gift from God. Thanks to you kids for the many ways you do not even realize you have helped me grow closer to our Lord. Lastly and mostly, I am deeply grateful to my wife, Elizabeth. St. Thomas Aquinas says that love is, “to will the good of the other.” Liz, you embody this statement as you encourage me to march onward toward heaven seeking our Lord. With deep humility and true gratitude, thank you all! Deacon Jacob Huysentruyt
18 A Message of Gratitude...
I am very thankful to God the Father for his calling me to ordination. I am grateful for the guidance and answered prayers to the Holy Spirit, and the saving grace of the Lord Jesus, my savior.
I would like to thank my wife Cindy and my children Kyle and Nicole for their continued love and support on my journey, and to all my family for their support and prayers along the way.
Thank you to my church family, Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. You have offered much support and prayers, as well as needed encouragement.
I would like to thank the staff in the Diaconate Formation process for their guidance helping me to be prepared as I answer my call to the permanent diaconate, especially Doctor Dan Osborn and Father Jim Bessert.
I ask that you have me in your prayers as I have you in mine.
God Bless, Deacon Dale Sisson
19 A Message of Gratitude...
Deo Gratias! Our lives can be compared to a tapestry, intricately woven and beautiful to behold. A single thread on its own could not create such a complex picture, but like a tapestry, when God connects and weaves all the threads together, a beautiful image appears that tells a story. Like each thread of a tapestry, it would be impossible on this side of eternity to identify each person that has supported me and led me closer to the Lord through the years. The following will be my own feeble attempt at trying. First and foremost, though, I would like to give thanks to God for creating me in this time and place out of all possible times and places to serve Him and His One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. I am continually humbled and full of wonder that He has the confidence in me, even when I can’t see it, to serve Him as a deacon and I pray that I can live my life worthy of His call. He has blessed me and continues to bless me through the gift of those He has placed in my life and I would like to give thanks to the following people for being a part of that journey. A profound thanks to His Excellency Bishop Gruss for his paternal guidance as our shepherd in the Diocese of Saginaw and for calling me to serve as a deacon. Also to Dr. Osborn, my brother deacon candidates and all those who have been involved in my formation in the diocese. Putting in countless hours guiding me and preparing me for this moment. And to all those who have taught me the faith through the years and all the priests and deacons who brought me the sacraments and have guided me, keeping the flame of faith alive. A special thanks to my parish family at Holy Family for their prayers, love and support through these years of discernment, especially Father Schikora and Father Blaxton. I look forward to continuing to grow and serve you as your deacon. To my family and friends, especially my parents, for cooperating with God’s creative work and bringing me and my brother and sisters into this world and providing a childhood full of wonder and mystery, introducing me to the faith, I am eternally grateful. Also, to my many friends in the faith whom I have learned from in so many ways what it means to live as a follower of Christ. Finally, from the bottom of my heart, to my beloved wife Sarah who has stood by my side with a great amount of love, patience and understanding. I will never be able to thank God enough for blessing me with such a pillar of strength and support. I pray that I may always be the same for her and be the husband she deserves. And to my beautiful children Kiera, Adia, Balin, Callen, Clara and Declan. It would be impossible to express in words just how much they are loved and what a blessing they are to me. I pray that I may always be a father to them that reveals a small glimpse into the profound love of their Heavenly Father. My heart is filled with gratitude when I think of all those who have accompanied me on this journey, know that I am keeping all of you in my prayers. I humbly ask for your continued prayers for me that I may be ever more conformed to Christ the Servant. Benedicamus Domino!
On the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 20 Deacon Andrew John Waligorski A Message of Gratitude...
I thank God for his gifts of grace, love, and guidance which has brought me here to this day. I also thank my wife Bev, and my family.
I appreciate all the love and support of all who have accompanied me on this journey and in a special way the people of Saint Michael Parish in Maple Grove and the people of Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Saint Charles.
God Bless, Deacon Alan Wright
