Bader contributed to the Fulbright Association a sculptural portrait of Senator J. William Fulbright that is reproduced for each Prize recipient. The bust was on display at the Kennedy Center, and then moved to the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. Honoring Gretta’s husband, William Bader, was in the first class of Angela Merkel Fulbright Scholars to Germany in 1953. Their son, John Bader, is the Executive Director of the Fulbright Association.
