Encl.: IM 6657 2018 10400/18 KDB/kdb DPG EN www.parlament.gv.at Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Italy To the European Union Letter Brussels, 21 June 2018 Dear Secretary-General, The Italian Government has made the following nominations as members of the Committee of the Regions : 1) since the mandate of Mr Giovanni ARDIZZONE, member of the Committee of the Regions, has ended, the Italian Government has nominated Mr Alessandro FERMI, in his capacity as President of the Lombardia Regional Council and Regional Councillor; 2) since the mandate of Mr. Raffaele CATTANEO, member of the Committee of the Regions, has ended, the Italian Government has nominated Mr. Roberto CIAMBETTI, in his capacity as President of the Veneto Regional Council and Regional Councillor; 3) since the mandate of Mr Paolo DI LAURA FRATTURA, member of the Committee of the Regions, has ended, the Italian Government has nominated Mr Donato TOMA, in his capacity as President of the Molise Region; 4) since the mandate of Mr Vincenzo BIANCO, member of the Committee of the Regions, has ended as Mayor of Catania, the Italian Government has nominated the same Mr Vincenzo BIANCO, in his capacity as member of the Council of the Municipality of Catania (change of mandate); The Italian Government has also made the following nominations as alternate members of the Committee of the Regions : 5) since the mandate of Mr Roberto CIAMBETTI, alternate member of the Committee of the Regions, is going to end because he has been re-nominated as member of Committee of the Regions, the Italian Government has nominated Mr Alessandro PIANA, in his capacity as President of the Liguria Regional Council and Regional Councillor; 6) since the mandate of Mr Stefano Bruno GALLI, alternate member of the Committee of the Regions, has ended, the Italian Government has nominated Mr. Raffaele Cattaneo, in his capacity as member of the Executive Council of Lombardia Region; 7) since the mandate of Mr. Isidoro GOTTARDO, alternate member of the Committee of the Regions, has ended, the Italian Government has nominated Mr Alberto GOTTARDO, in his capacity as member of the Council of the Municipality of Sacile. 10400/18 KDB/kdb 1 DPG EN www.parlament.gv.at Finally the appointment of Nicola Zingaretti as a member of the Committee of the Regions, re- elected as President of Lazio Region, is confirmed.
