Whitney - the Chicago-based band led by vocalist/drummer Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max ​ ​ ​ ​ Kakacek - shares a new single/video, “Used To Be Lonely,” from their forthcoming album, ​ ​ ​ Forever Turned Around, out August 30th via Secretly Canadian. It follows the previously ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ released singles, “Valleys (My Love)” and “Giving Up.” “Used To Be Lonely” tackles the ​ ​ ​ ​ blissful confusion that comes from seeing the way things unexpectedly change over time. The accompanying video, directed by Austin Vesely, is Chicago-centric, featuring notable places ​ ​ throughout the city like the Music Box Theatre and Lake Michigan shoreline.

Forever Turned Around is an album about partnership — romantic, familial and communal, ​ but most importantly a love in friendship: the bonds between two best friends and creative partners and the joy and stress that comes with it. The album was co-produced by Brad Cook ​ (Bon Iver, Hand Habits) and Jonathan Rado (Weyes Blood, Father John Misty), who produced ​ ​ their much-beloved debut, 2016’s Light Upon The Lake, and features Chicago musicians Lia ​ ​ ​ Kohl and OHMME’s Macie Stewart. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​

Whitney are in the midst of a European tour. Upon their return to the states, they will embark on a lengthy North American leg, where they’ll play four hometown shows at Thalia Hall. All ​ ​ tickets are on sale now and all dates can be found below
