Dighton Public Library Tricentennial Events The Dighton Public Library Children's Birthday Party ~ Saturday, January 21 at 12:30. Join us Presents Vincent “Buddy” Cianci for a small celebration with a 300th cake.

Dighton Beyond the Book ~ Monthly book discussions will take place the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Lower Level of Dighton Town Hall at 1:00. This book discussion is held in conjunction with Dighton Intertribal Council.

King Philip's War with Michael Tougias ~ Thursday, February 2 at 7:00 PM at Lower Level of Town Hall. Tougias will present a slide presentation of war between colonists and Native Americans. Book Signing to follow.

Cross-stitch Craft Circle for Kids ~ Friday, February 24 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM. Miss Lorie will show how to start and make a cross-stitch sampler for kids.

Edward Lodi's Curious Incidents in King Philip's War ~ Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 at Lower Level of Town Hall. Local author and Tuesday, December 6, 2011 historian Edward Lodi will share his collected stories of King Philip's War . 7:00 PM Dighton Middle School Northern Hospitality ~ Thursday, April 26 at 6:30 PM at Lower Level of Town Hall. Authors Keith Stavely and Kathleen Fitzgerald will discuss the evolution of cuisine and recipes – with a sample tasting.

Prehistoric Dighton ~ Saturday, May 12 at 1:00 PM at Lower Level Dighton Public Library of Town Hall. A member of the Robbins Museum of Archaeology will give a presentation of life in Dighton and artifacts found from 395 Main Street that time.
