RIDE THE TRAIN PLUS A VISIT TO CAPTIVATING SABOTIN PEACE PARK OF GORIŠKA BRDA

At 8:53 AM, our vintage train will depart from and continue past , , Most na Soči and Kanal to its final stop at , where the arrival is scheduled for 11:57 AM. This three- hour-long train ride along the railway will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for any true rail enthusiast. The views of Lake Bled, passing through numerous gorges, crossing many tunnels, the longest of which measures 6,327 m (3.93 miles), never fail to impress. Make sure your cameras are at hand! On the train, we will be accompanied by tour guides and staff who will conjure up a merry atmosphere and provide information about the train, the Bohinj railway itself and the regions along the route. The train also has a restaurant carriage serving a selection of drinks and light snacks.

We will alight at the Kanal railway station and continue the journey by buses. Accompanied by tour guides, we will drive to Sabotin, to the slopes where 22 nations were involved in the battles of the Isonzo Front. In today's Peace Park, we will visit the museum and caverns while listening to the tour guide recounting sad, romantic, but also amusing stories that took place on this mountain, which is famous in geographical terms as being the last Alpine and the first Mediterranean hill in Slovenia. After the tour, we will have lunch at a restaurant and then head out to the nearby ossuary in Oslavia, , where we will see a monument dedicated to the fallen Italian soldiers in . From the monument, a large cylindrical building, there is a wonderful view over the valley and Sabotin hill. On the way to the train station in Nova Gorica we will see with its numerous palaces, parks and a castle in which gunpowder was stored in World War I. Gorizia was badly damaged in heavy bombardment.

From Nova Gorica, our steam-powered beauty will take us up Soča valley and then back to Bled and Jesenice. Pricelist Children 0-6 years - Free of charge* Children 6-12 years – 39 EUR Adults – 75 EUR
