It is a marketing guide to maximize global competitiveness of Georgia grown and manufactured wood products. The directory can benefit persons or firms, both interstate and intrastate, seeking to buy or sell specific items. The information contained in this directory is as up-to-date as possible. Data was collected in early, 2020. Data entry and editing occurred in mid-2020. A comprehensive effort was made to locate and interview all qualifying companies. This directory contains information on primary industries only – mills that process roundwood in log or bolt form or as chipped roundwood. A Georgia Counties and Mill Location Map is provided to assist with referencing mill locations. Companies by Type of Business provides information such as company name, mail address and location, telephone and fax number, email and website, the type of business in which the company is engaged, products, by-products, species of wood used, and manufacturing facilities. In some situations, a mill may produce more than one primary product and thus will be listed in more than one section. An alphabetic character denotes a particular size class based on employment. Employment Size Class: A = 1-3 D = 20-49 G = 200-499 B = 4-9 E = 50-99 H = 500-999 C = 10-19 F = 100-199 J = 1000 + Companies that Export lists mills that export their products.
