Passenger Train Number 35 Mile 23.57, Canadian National Kingston Subdivision Pincourt/Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Quebec 17 December 2007 Report Number R07D0111 Synopsis On 17 December 2007, at approximately 1549 eastern standard time, VIA Rail Canada Inc. passenger train No. 35, travelling westward at 62 mph on the south main track of Canadian National’s Kingston Subdivision, struck an empty tractor-trailer that was immobilized on the 3e Avenue level public crossing located at Mile 23.57, near Pincourt/Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Quebec. The tractor-trailer was destroyed; the locomotive was damaged and was unable to continue. This market-driven initiative assumes the proposed station would be planned and paid for by the private sector. Once built, the station would be transferred to Metrolinx who would own and operate it. The proposed station location is on undeveloped land, at the heart of both the Trafalgar Corridor and Agerton Employment Secondary Plan Areas studied by the Town of Milton in 2017. As such, the project offers the Town of Milton the opportunity to realize an attractive and vibrant transit-oriented community that has the potential to benefit the entire region. Option for Analysis This Initial Business Case (IBC) assesses a single option for the proposed station. The opening-day concept plan includes one new side platform to the north of the corridor, with protection for a future second platform to the south. The site includes 1,000 parking spots, a passenger pick-up/drop-off area (40 wait spaces, 10 load spaces), bicycle parking (128 covered spaces, 64 secured spaces) and a bus loop including 11 sawtooth bus bays. -

Staff Report To Committee of the Whole Service Area Infrastructure, Development and Enterprise Services Date Tuesday, September 8, 2020 Subject City Operations Campus – Part 1: Transit Electrification Recommendation 1. That staff be directed to continue developing plans in alignment with the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Plan (ICIP) projects approved by Infrastructure Canada (INFC), including negotiation of the required Transfer Payment Agreement (TPA). 2. That staff be directed to complete electrical infrastructure modifications and initial electric bus charger installation at the existing Transit Facility at 170 Watson Road South using funds approved in project TC0059 Transit Operations Facility. Executive Summary Purpose of Report To provide an update on planning for the City Operations Campus, specifically the transition of Guelph Transit to an electric fleet and to seek direction from Council to proceed with the initial (pilot) installation of charging equipment at the current transit facility. Key Findings • The Transit Electrification Program is directly aligned with the Sustaining Our Future pillar of the City’s Strategic Plan and strongly supports both the Corporate 100% Renewable Energy and the Community Net Zero Carbon targets. • This program is complex and multidisciplinary requiring significant planning and engineering design to ensure the effective development of the City Operations Campus and the construction of electrical charging infrastructure to support the successful electrification of the Guelph Transit bus fleet. -

Clause 3 in Report No. 1 of Committee of the Whole was adopted, without amendment, by the Council of The Regional Municipality of York at its meeting held on January 21, 2016. 3 Feasibility Study for Proposed Rerouting of the Greater Toronto Rail Network Committee of the Whole recommends: 1. Receipt of the presentation by Stephen Collins, Director, Infrastructure Management and Project Management Office. 2. Adoption of the following recommendations, as amended, in the report dated December 19, 2015 from Commissioner of Transportation Services: 1. Council formally request Metrolinx to undertake consultation with York Region, the Cities of Markham and Vaughan and the Town of Richmond Hill before proceeding with additional detailed studies relating to the rerouting of a freight rail proposal. 2. The Regional Clerk circulate a copy of this report to the Clerks of the Cities of Cambridge, Markham, Mississauga, Toronto, Vaughan, the Towns of Richmond Hill and Milton and Metrolinx. 1. Recommendation It is recommended that: 1. Council formally request Metrolinx to undertake consultation with York Region and the Cities of Markham and Vaughan before proceeding with additional detailed studies relating to the rerouting of a freight rail proposal. 2. Bowmanville Rail Service Extension Initial Business Case Update February 2020 Disclaimer This Initial Business Case evaluates the case for implementing rail service to Bowmanville on the Lakeshore East corridor through various alignments and service patterns. The options presented are based on Metrolinx’s initial view of achievable alignments and service patterns on a shared rail corridor, and the infrastructure requirements to enable the service extension. Variations in the preferred alignment’s infrastructure scope and/or service pattern will be assessed through a Preliminary Design Business Case. This business case uses the future GO Expansion electrified service on the Lakeshore East corridor to Oshawa as the baseline for analysis. As this project advances through the business case lifecycle, future analyses will consider the effects of re-baselining the existing service levels. All figures within this Initial Business Case Update represent preliminary results. Forecasted costs, revenues and ridership figures are at a high level and will be subject to refinement as analysis of the Bowmanville Rail Extension proceeds to the Preliminary Design Business Case phase, and later analyses in the Business Cases lifecycle.
