American Girl Fashion Show® Model Search

Thank you for your interest in the 2014 American Girl Fashion Show® to benefit Cool Kids Campaign! Our third annual event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 - 27, 2014 at Boumi Shrine Center in White Marsh, Maryland.

• New for 2014 – All models must preregister for an audition time slot. For each of the three mall venues where we host Model Searches, the auditions are limited to 120 girls per mall: The Mall in Columbia; White Marsh Mall; and Towson Town Center. Audition registration is on a first-come first-served basis here on the Cool Kids Campaign website. Check back again - the audition registration will open soon. • A $10 processing fee will be charged per child to audition. If your child is chosen as a model the $10 will be applied towards their minimum fundraising goal of $50. If your child is not chosen, the $10 can be applied towards the cost of a ticket to attend the show. If you are not planning to attend, then the money serves as a donation to Cool Kids Campaign. • We will select 172 girls to model in four shows – 43 models per show. • Models must fit a size 6x (Bitty Baby outfits) or size 10 (historical and Dress Like Your Doll outfits). See size chart below for measurements. • Models must be able to attend a fitting and rehearsals. • Fittings are held on Monday and Tuesday, March 24-25 at Cool Kids Campaign in Towson. • Dress rehearsals will be held April 12-13 at the Towson Marriott. Exact day and time will be determined by the show in which your model is placed. • Models may be required to supply footwear and accessories, depending on their costumes. • Models must be able to be independent from their parents for three hours (one hour before the show, and during the two-hour performance) and feel comfortable walking a runway in front of 300 people. • For the April 26-27, 2014 fashion show, parents will drop off their daughters and American Girl volunteers will help get them into their costumes and prepared for the event. • For parents and family members to watch the fashion show, including the specific show in which your model appears, they must purchase tickets. • All selected models are required to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges to support the charitable aspect of the show; that money is donated to Cool Kids Campaign. • The American Girl dolls are diverse; therefore, girls of all races and cultures are encouraged to apply to audition. • If your child is not within the range of measurements listed below, there will be an additional opportunity to model at the shows.
