2019 RICHARD DINNER Sonoma Mountain

WINEMAKER NOTES The Richard Dinner Chardonnay intrinsically epitomizes the house style of Ron Noble . Chardonnay is known by Winemakers to be versatile and this site requires expertise and finesse to balance the density, structure and acidity of this . Our winemaker started work- ing with this iconic block of Old Wente Chardonnay in 2006 while at Paul Hobbs . This block is perched at 820 feet on the Northern slope of Sonoma Mountain. Volcanic soils, vine age (1994), cooling fog from San Pablo Bay, and consistent farming are among the reasons it is considered a unique and Gran Cru site in Sonoma County.

TASTING NOTES This inaugural vintage of Richard Dinner Chardonnay is golden and opalescent, a prelude to the flavor intensity and unfiltered complexity of the wine. Concentrated and lifted aromas of green apples, vanilla bean and white jasmine flowers will entice your senses. Opulence in a glass, the wine has excellent fruit density with flavors of canned pears, crystalized ginger and mandarin oranges. Exotic and baking spices are layered into the flavor profile and the wine finishes creamy, polished and long.
