At the end of the spring semester, students were awarded the higher of their grade in a course as of March 24th or their grade at the end of the semester taking into account their performance on assessments during quarantine. The higher grade was posted to transcripts. • There were no final exams for students in grades 9 – 12, except for national AP exams for students in AP designated courses. • Graduation requirements were not changed. • Georgia High School Association (GHSA), the governing body for athletic and fine arts performances, suspended all activities through the end of the school year on March 24, 2020. 2020-2021 • Wesleyan is in a hybrid synchronous distance-learning style for the first four weeks of school. o 12% of student body (K-12) elected distance learning. o All other students attend Wesleyan in person every other day. On opposite days, students attend Wesleyan remotely. o Students on campus and at home follow the same schedule. • As the community transmission and positive test rates of the virus improve or decline, Wesleyan is prepared to switch from our hybrid model. If there is an o improvement: full schedule of in-person class at Wesleyan. o decline: full schedule of synchronous distance-learning from home. • GHSA is currently allowing schools to practice and perform. • No changes in graduation requirements are planned. 5405 Spalding Drive ∙ Norcross, GA 30092 ∙ (770) 448-7640 ∙ Fax (770) 448-3699 www.wesleyanschool.org .
