Seatbelts and Seatbelt Anchorages
Correct as at 19th June 2014. It may be superseded at any time. Extract taken: from NZTA Vehicle Portal > VIRMs > In-service certification (WoF and CoF) > General vehicles > Vehicle interior > Seatbelts and seatbelt anchorages 7-5 Seatbelts and seatbelt anchorages Reasons for rejection Mandatory equipment 1. A seatbelt (Note 1) of the type specified in Table 7-5-1 (first registered in NZ before 1/1/1991), Table 7-5-2 (first registered in NZ between 1/1/1991 and 31/3/2002)and Table 7-5-3 (first registered in NZ from 1/4/2002) has not been fitted (see (Note 18) for permitted specialist seatbelts), and a) the requirements for specific motor vehicles in Table 7-5-4 are not met, or b) the requirements for modification in Table 7-5-5 are not met. 2. A seat that can be rotated or reversed to face in different directions, for which seatbelts are not provided for all directions, has no notice easily visible by the seat occupant that indicates the direction the seat must (or must not) face when the vehicle is moving. Condition (Note 20) Seatbelts 3. The seatbelt assembly is not securely fixed to a seatbelt anchorage. 4. A seatbelt component (eg protective plastic cover on buckle, tongue or retractor system) is damaged so that foreign objects may enter the interior components, or that they may cause damage to the interior components, mechanisms or webbing. 5. The seatbelt webbing (including webbing attached to the buckle) has: a) a cut, including a cut on the surface, or b) a rip or tear, or c) fraying, or d) stretching (eg the belt has unusual web patterns or the webbing is deformed, will not lie flat, or is curled or rippled), or e) fading so that most of the colour has been bleached, and: i. -

The tank-like cars are widely known and from a foreign point of view Hummer clearly appears as the American Car by excellence. Its military features, make Hummer SUV’s the most unique and instantly recognizable vehicle of the world. Those very military features have been one of the major selling point and that since the very beginning. Hummer history Back to HUMMER roots: the JEEP In 1970, American Motors bought Kaiser-Jeep, the Military vehicle Retailer and renamed it the Jeep Corporation. At that point, Jeep was producing vehicles through two divisions: the Commercial Products division and the Government Products division. A military car 1971, the Government Products division was spun off as a wholly owned subsidiary known as AM General. In the early 1980s, the company, now owned by the LTV Corporation, designed a vehicle to compete for a contract offered by the U.S. Army. Called the High Mobility Multi- Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, or Humvee, as it came to be known) The Creation of the Brand AM General's Humvees distinguished themselves in active duty during the Persian Gulf War in the early 90’s. -

PRESENTAZIONE volontari del progetto STAF (Storia della Tecnologia delle Automobili FIAT), istituito nel 2009 al fine di selezionare i disegni tecnici più rilevanti per documentare l’e- I voluzione tecnica delle automobili FIAT, sono venuti a contatto anche con i disegni Lancia, contenuti in una sezione dedicata dell’Archivio Storico FIAT: il materiale vi era stato trasferito quando, nel 1984, la Direzione tecnica di FIAT Auto, il settore aziendale incaricato di progettare le automobili dei marchi FIAT, Lancia e Autobianchi, era stata riunita in un unico fabbricato, all’interno del comprensorio di Mirafiori. Fu nell’oc- casione del ritrovamento di questo nucleo di disegni che i partecipanti al progetto si proposero di applicare il metodo impiegato nel predisporre il materiale raccolto nel libro FIAT, storie di innovazione tecnologica nelle automobili, anche per preparare un libro analogo dedicato alle automobili Lancia. Questo secondo libro, attraverso l’esame dei disegni tecnici, del materiale d’archivio e delle fotografie di automobili sopravvissute, illustra l’evoluzione delle vetture Lancia e i loro contenuti innovativi, spesso caratterizzati da elementi di assoluta originalità. Il reperimento del materiale si è mostrato, tuttavia, più arduo rispetto al lavoro sulle vetture FIAT, almeno per le automobili più anziane, poiché l’archivio dei disegni Lancia era organizzato senza impiegare una struttura logica di supporto, per distinguere agevolmente i diversi gruppi funzionali dai particolari di puro dettaglio.
